Brag post time. Lots of people saw pictures of Malkin practicing and Fleury in his new pads but I just saw them in person during a closed practice.     I was down at the arena to get my security

Yes I agree that Crosby kids gotta go. Can I interest you in a phaneuf?

JapersRink ‏@JapersRink · 20m Really looking forward to Dan Bylsma being either an idiot who can't win with Sid or a genius who can win without a bottom-6 after tonight.

If Fleury was a Maple Leaf, the media would of already hung him and tried to boo him out of town....
Yes, because there is a lot of booing in the press box..... :club:

I dunno. I think it's a bit more than D. I hate his rebound control, and the way he overplays 2 on 1s.
He hasn't played well...no doubt about it. He's got all the physical tools and I think the weakest part of his game is the mental side. Because of this confidence is huge. When he doesn't have it, watch out.

The first 5 players score in the shootout and Danny SabOOOO gloves Ray Whitney to win it for the Pens. Can't wait till tomorrow, we'll see if Fluery can get back on his game against Ovechkin and Co. And I'll be there see it.

Saby played a pretty good game, IMO.
I'll have to admit that I was about to throw stuff at the tv when he let in that first, quick goal, but he made up for it later. My tv gets a stay of execution :club:

Fluery isn't the problem. Sure he hasn't been playing good but any guy that's put into the situations that he's faced it going to have a tough time. Why I worry about is that he's getting down on himself. What needs to happen is his D is going to have to help him build his confidence. A few 3-2, 2-1 type victories could change everything.
Last night was the 2-1 victory. Fun game, Pens give up the first goal just like basically every game. They they played solid D and scored enough to win it for them. They could have easily gotten the score up to 4 or 5-1 but the caps backup made some pretty sweet saves.

The Pens were lucky to even get a point on Friday night. They looked slow and forechecking/neutral zone adjustments by the coaching staff took until the 3rd period, which CAR re-adjusted to in 2-3 shifts. The PP never gains the blue line with control. The PK always allows the blue line to be gained without much effort.Saturday, a much better showing, but still not where it needs to be. The action up and down the ice was the best I've seen in a regular season game in a while.

lol for anyone watching the Pens game tonight...I loved Malkin playing keep away there from Callahan, I think, without the stick, loool, held it from him for what seemed like an eternity, then finally drew a penalty... I mean, getting a scoring chance would have been fun, but that was hilarious to watch.
