offset 0
Thanks Feds! Glad to see hardworking Americans' tax dollars are finally being used to limit their freedom! First step: limit online gambling.Second step: burn books.
jjdylan 0
" Nor is it known at this time if the two men are being detained for anything having to do with their involvement in NETeller."basically that article can barely confirm that the guys were even actually arrested. PokerFan 0
I would not take this recent news lightly...Once the grace period of the new law is over the U.S. Gov will take action to crack/shut down internet gambling and poker. The U.S gov will protect US companys...ie Bally's Harrahs etc.... that are tax paying corporations, better get your on-line poker fix in if you live in the US.

GWCGWC 83
Speculation:They are in the US to force the US to arrest them and try to prosecute based on the new law. This would challenge the new legislation and create precedent. orThey were involved in a child pornography ring and finally got caught.
rocksquid 50
register and vote for pro poker candidates. And if you're not a registered voter, you're not allowed to complain.
omahahilo 0
These sorts of things are going to happen, and happen much more often.Seems to me this sort of thing will need to be challanged on an international scale before we can see any change. If these two men are Canadian, then the Canadian government needs to challange this. What are they trying to do? All they can really do is block Americans from inside America. They can not possibly controll world commerce, which is exactly what they're trying to do.All they can do is isolate American commerce from the remainder of the world. This is getting scary close to communism. Arrest without an explination? Now we are not free to spend money as we wish? If they allow this to happen it will continue, but if they fight and win, it will be an excellent step in the right direction. They are just 'detained' so to speak? Their lawyers need to challange this right now and demand a reason.I'm sorry but this government of ours is out of controll and may need a good ***** slap. They need to mind their own business. My two cents. umop-apisdn 0
Let's speculate some more! They could have been detained for many, many reasons - some of which would cause the Cdn government to throw up their hands and say 'throw the book at them'... They're just stupid - should've taken a page from the Bodog guy's book and NEVER ENTER THE UNITED STATES... Dumbasses.

Also a good mix of Isolationism in there too!
