king_tanner 84
I said awhile ago that I wasn't going to watch anymore, but I'm back on the bandwagon.... GO SANJAYA... don't you all find it a little amusing that the horrible singers are the ones getting a lot of votes?I was listening to the Howard Stern show this morning, and he has been trying to get all his listeners to vote for Sanjaya, some people called in and said they voted a couple hundred times. Imagine this kid actually winning, that would be the end of the show lol. All the thousands of people who try out, and Sanjaya makes it to the top 10.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Only one last thingto say, Never underestimate pity. Thats the only reason Haley is still there.Nope. She's hot.I haven't watched any of the perfomance shows until now.Melinda=great singer, no look. Sad, but a reality. Chiclets for teeth.Lakisha=big voice, will never be mainstream because she looks as if the ate BeyonceJordin=really wowed me with her performance Tuesday. Still wont win because of the youth factor. Same reason Adrian Peterson didn't win the Heisman as a freshman.Blake=gay. What is with the lock and pop? Seriously? And he picked a good song, what was very sketchy on the higher notes.Chris=I like his voice and he makes decent jokes, but I see a McDonalds commercial in his futureHaley=Hot, I love her, but she can't sing greatCueBall Phil= Next week he should sing NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye, because thats where he should be. And his over celebration for not being bottom 3 irritated me. Be classy.Chris- Join a boy band and get it over with already. Sanjaya-did you guys see the reaction shots of his sister? Good god she has great bags. I rewound it 3 times. True story. Thats what I think of his singing, but whatever, its not his fault and he seems decent. So why pile on?Gina- Wannabe rocker, Poser, too much attitude, dressed ridiculous, not a horrible voice, not right for this competition. Evanessence isn't a rock band people, get over it.Melinda and Lakisha are obviously good singers, but even when one of them wins, they will go the route of Reuben. Probably not get marketed hard and will venture into the Soul or R&B market. I also thought the songs they sang were boring and uninteresting. I'd rather watch someone with a decent voice sing a great song than a singer with a great voice sing a mediocre one.Ok, I've weighed in. You're all welcome.

Ron_Mexico 4,219
Very good hair, GREAT BAGS, but her face seems a tad small or something, but other than that, she's a doll. I'd be happy not satisfying her sexually.

troyomac 0
I just gotta say that even though she's not a great singer, Haley can perform. And she looked great doing it...those long legs, bare back, great smile, no bra, flirty, I LOVED IT!
theresa113 0
I am a Blake fan. I think he has the whole package. Will he win? Probably not.As for Sanjaya, I think he may win. Here is why... my son was telling me that Simon made a comment that if Sanjaya wins, he will quit American Idol. Well 4chen has this huge thread where everyone is voting for Sanjaya. Stern is also advocating the vote. There are several sites out there begging for people to vote for Sanjaya. It is a ruse that will most likely work. I think it is kind of funny especially since the show takes itself too serious. Simon made a comment about certain performers separating themselves from the show (i.e. Kelly Clarkson) and saying the show is a stepping stone. Well Kelly is right, it is a stepping stone. If you want longevity, you do have to separate yourself from the show. So even though there is some awesome talent on the show I think it would be a hoot if Sanjaya won. It is a ruse that will most likely work.If Sanjaya wins, the terrorists win.Doesn't American Idol get a minimum of 30 million votes each week? More as the season goes on? There's no way some internet sites and even Howard Stern have enough pull to sway the vote. The more likely reason he is still in is because he's interesting (in a WTF kind of way). There are only a few singers who have a legitimate shot at winning, so Sanjaya might stick around until it's him and the real singers. If you have a choice between Phil and Sanjaya, I'd rather see Sanjaya stick around. Phil is a better singer, but there's no way he's going to win and he's boring, so what's the incentive to keep him around?

I also believe that no site or even Howard Stern or the terrorists can sway the voting that much. Besides I lurk at some AI forums and believe it or not, there are people that actually like Sanjaya. I, am not one of those people! But I havta admit, if I had to choose between watching Sanjaya or Chris sing, I'd choose Sanjaya! Listening to Chris's nasally warble is like listening to fingers on a chalk board to me yet others love the guy. That just proves that we all have different tastes which is big reason people love the show. It's our diversity that gives us the odd results and therefore makes it that much more interesting. Mind you, I don’t vote so what do I know!As for Phil, I’m not impressed. His “lower register” is something to be frightened of! And he creeps me out. My two faves are Blake (I like the smooth tone of his voice and he is always on key which seems to be a problem for others) and Jordan who has very nice teeth. She improves every week and always tries hard. Melinda and Lekisha, are kind of getting boring to me. Not nice eh?
LadyGrey 6
Every week when they have a guest act I appreciate the contestants even more. Gwen Stefani sounded really awful, and the whole performance wasn't great. It's really tough to sing live and people expect these kids to be pitch perfect every night, but when you see a seasoned performer like Gwen sounding that breathless and "pitchy" as Randy would say you remember how difficult it is.I agree with Paula that Blake adds a nice touch of trendiness and originality, if he can write songs he could do well in the charts. Lakisha has the best voice in my opinion, but not as much confidence with it as Melinda (even though she fakes shyness every time her song is over). I don't like Melinda because she has no neck and it freaks me out, that's god's honest truth. My favourite is Jordin, she has a great voice and great spirit, she just needs to avoid the boring ballads.

Both me and my wife thought it was nice for a change that the celebrity singer actually sounded good this week with Gwen singing.

SuperJon 175
phil looks like a leukemia patientProbably not a bad idea for him to play that card. Might get him a few sympathy votes. On another note, it's no surprise that Sanjaya didn't completely suck tonight. Considering the fact that this is his style.1st audition from Sanjaya = one of the best that was televisedMost recent performance = somewhat good, not great, but not his usual suckinessEverything in between = terrible
CaneBrain 95
I am fine with Gina going because it is fun to watch Simon get all incredulous that Haley and Sanjaya keep sticking around. It is going to suck though when one of the real talents (Melinda, Lakisha, Jordin, Blake and maybe Chris) gets bounced and one of the two aforementioned suckbags gets to stay. SuperJon 175
Maybe it's me, but the song that Gina sang tonight was quite fitting.
Loismustdie 0
The timberlake wanna be gets bounced tonite. Sanjayas army and Haleys titties keep her around yet another week. Phil might be gone, but that would just make me happy so I am pretty sure it won't happen. I hate Phil. He can make a great living being the voice you halfway hear on Karaoke cd's. SuperJon 175
the sanjaya train keeps a rolling!I'm not sure how to put this...Does Sanjaya suck major balls? Yes, and more ways than one. But one simple fact about his vocals the past few weeks. Even though he's been bad, he has not been the worst singer. He still needs to go though.
