Mike McD (Damon) says something along the lines of "You wanna start with premium hands. Jacks or better split, and nines are better wired, or 3 high cards to a flush."I know hes talking about starting stud hands, but what does Jacks or better split mean? Does nines are better wired mean pair of 9s with a connecting suited card? For example 998, with 98 being diamonds.?Im posting this here and not the stud board because theres much more traffic here. SilentButDeadly3 0 Posted January 10, 2007 Share Posted January 10, 2007 In stud, you have two down cards and one up card to start.Jacks split is the following...Downcards: J , AUpcard: J99's or better wired is the following...Downcards: 99Upcard: AnythingSo "wired" cards are your down cards that are paired.
