Recommended Posts

I know...internationally Canada still pwns.I was referring to the Stanley Cup. Hopefully it COMES BACK HOME in 2007. We'll pretend Buffalo is close enough to count.

FYI Team Canada beat Team USA in international junior hockey yesterday (Semi-Final) and I imagine about 0.002% of the US population knew about the game.
That shootout was lame, what kinda rules allow a person to shoot over and over?

Also for the record, the last time a Canadian team was in the Cup finals (Flames/Lightning), there were more Canadian players on the Lightning roster including the playoff MVP.Tampa Bay may not be located in Canada, but the Canadian content of their team was a large part of why they won.

hmm...that's true...but the Lightning still represent an American team. It's like the Blue Jays winning the world series...even though it's all american players no one in america liked the Jays' b2b wins and everyone in canada was pretty damn happy.Cup, Nucks, 2007...GO!

Obviously you guys fly from place to place. I drove from Saskatoon to BC and Alberta blows as a whole. I'm sure there are nice spots, but as a whole it's just Kansas without the nightlife. And so what if it doesn't have Pacific Standard Time. That's not really that big of a deal.Boy you Canadians get excited easily
I'm assuming you made a bad joke.

Other than low crime, world class clean cities, diverse population, relatively easy access to America, strong economy, good educational system... really no reason.I have my own personal debates with some specific Canadians and policies, but Canada is one of the Planet's better countries - they just need to find a way to keep their most prized national treasures - Hockey & Beer
Don't forget socialized healthcare. Amazing that a coumtry actually took steps to make sure everyone could go to the doctor.

Ummm......Canadians routinely come to the US for many procedures because of deficiencies in the "wonderful" Socialized Health Care system. Socialized Health Care sounds just wonderful - but I wouldn't bet my life on it. Also, start comparing marginal tax rates with Canadians. Nothing comes for free. Robin Hood not withstanding.Gotta be some reason many of the best & brightest Canadians come to America to purse opportunities - even the best Poker players!

You guys can have Buffalo. Most Americans already consider it to be part of the Artic Circle
