road trip, song list

Recommended Posts

I live about 120 miles from AC. So it takes me roughly 90 minutes to get there. I'm asking for your help in compiling a list of songs I can burn to a cd for the ride. I would like the songs to be upbeat rock songs to get me excited about my night of gambling. Maybe a second cd with sad songs to help me deal with the depression of a losing session. Here is a sample of song I have already put on the list, it will also give you an idea of what kind of music I'm looking for. 1. Open All Night- Springsteen2. In My Life- Beatles3. What Would You Say- Dave Matthews Band4. In a Simple Rhyme - Van HalenThanks for all your help and good luck at the tables.

gg Gordon Lightfoot, you never hear enough references to him.goin there, you gotta get into the zone, but not get pumped so you crash hard. I really recommend Godsmack's acoustic album. Man.. I wasn't a huge fan before, but I'm hooked now. This is poker music at its best.

Hmmm..."Just Another Roll Of The Dice" - Bruce SpringsteenI liked the Gordon Lightfoot reference (and Blue Rodeo, for that matter...)
thanks for the note. lightfoot is one of my favorites.i know a thing or two about driving music. i've hit every canadian province and all but five u.s. states... some suggestions...if you're ever traveling along highway 15 through the high desert of the mojave at 4am heading east out of LA towards vegas, i highly recommend opening up the sunroof, stepping on the gas, and putting on some bob seger tunes. night moves. you'll accomp'ny me. hollywood nights... (oh, and don't forget to stop just outside barstow and see the world's biggest thermometer!)camping in elora gorge? blue rodeo. five days in july. just press 'play' and 'repeat all'. leave on all night. and don't forget to burn a lawn chair in the fire sometime during the night. (burn the park's picnic tables at your own risk.)sitting in a waffle house in tennessee at 3am? kenny rogers or tammy wynette works best. i love watching out the window as the truck lights fly by on I-75... waffles, cold milk with bubbles, grits on my plate, hash browns... scattered, smothered and covered. i know it's not glamorous, but man is it fun... every waffle house has a juke box and they're all filled with the best country tunes... stand by your man, D-I-V-O-R-C-E, 'til i can make it on my own... lady, lucille, love will turn you around, scarlet fever, you decorated my life, through the years... wow i love that last song.kelly.
