LONEWOLF 0
I have played thousands and thousands of hands, and just hit my first ever Royal Flush. Here is how it went down. I was dealt K Q in the SB. Two limpers already, so I raised. Both limpers called. Flop came down A 9 3 (or vice versa, but the A is good). I bet, and the button called. Turn was the J , I bet, and was re-raised, I called. River was the T , and I really wanted to check, but was afraid I would not get paid off, so I bet, and the button just flat called. So that is how mine went down, how did yours go down, and what was the situation in which it took place? Mine was a SnG tourney on STARS. L*
longdistance 0
I got my first one last week in a freeroll on UB  I hit a str8 flush in a live game...had it by the turn...woohoo

Dirsan 0
I got my first one on Saturday on Doyle's room. It was in a SNG tourney, 6 people. Blinds were like 20/40, I raised 3X BB in mid position with As Qs. One person called. Flop came Js Ks 10s, flopped the royal flush! First one I've ever gotten live or online. The other player was on the button and hugely overbets the pot, I think he bet like 700. I just call. Turn he bets like 250, I call......he realized on the river he;s beat. He checked, I bet something small, I think like 350, he calls. If I ever get another, hopefully I'll get paid off again!
jayistheman 0
mine was kinda gay... no payment. and i accidentally deleted the screen shot.. but.. Q J in mid pos. limpers abound. nl50 on paradise so theres alot of it. flop A K x... river ended up being 10 . pot was super small. i bet like 2 bucks in first pos... 2 flat callers. what really pissed me off was.. well i guess there are 2 things. for one, it happened on the small table. not the super agressive nl100 i was in at the same time. secondly, it happened on paradise.... about 2 weeks after i cashed out of poker room (which paid 500 bucks for a diamond royal at the time)
matthiggins 0
I hit a royal flush in the most unfortunate of situations. I was playing for NO MONEY with some of my younger cousins. My aunt and uncle had rented a cabin on a lake near my hometown, so I went up north with them and my parents and brother met us there. Fishing during the day, poker at night, drinking throughout...good times. However, on saturday morning the poker supplies were still scattered after breakfast and we were waiting for a rainstorm to blow over, so we deccided to each grab 30 chips and play a few hands to pass the time. 2nd hand I get A-Qd, preflop raise from the big blind. small blind called. all others folded. Flop brought Kd-10d-6c. Small blind bet 5 chips, I call in anticipation. Turn brings: Jd! Small blind bets another 5, I simply call. River brings: Kh. Small blind bets 10, I push all in, he calls. I win! Amazingly, small blind was holding K-10c. Full house. I actually angrily showed the Royal Flush, exclaiming: "Probably the only royal flush I get in my life, and there's no real money on the table!"Although I'm only 23...I have plenty of hands left to see one again. With any luck, it will be in vegas in 3 weeks!!!
Suited_Up 2
Glad to see this thread....because I hit my first one last night. I was playing in one of the new 5-step tourney's at PartyPoker... they seem cool... It was step one.... and I got dealt AQc (I have the hand history, in my gf's email...I'll post it when I get ahold of it)... the flop came down A-K-10 (only the 10 was clubs I think)....I had about 700 chips at this point, so I was kind of down... I bet, and got re-raised by someone who wentall-in...at this point, I didn't have much really with that board, but I let the timer go down to about 3 seconds and finally made the call. Turn and river came so fast, so I dont remember exactly... But I think the turn was the Jc, and the river was the Kc (This may be wrong, cause I haven't seen the history yet, and it went so fast) But either way, I thought I was dead after I called... cause he turned over K10, for 2 pair to my pair of aces. Well the 2 cards came sliding out, and all of a sudden the chips get pushed my way, and I had a royal flush! I was excited, cause I got pretty lucky I think.... well it doubled me up to 2010 just before the final table, and I went on to win the tournament... and get a free $55 seat into round 2. oldadmin 0
I think I've had at least 7 or 8 on UB - only made about $600 from their high hand jackpots off of them though.
Guest
was in a live game just a couple weeks ago:3/6 game, I'm in the SB with Q Q player in mid position raises, button reraises, I smooth call both.Flop comes A J 10 I'm on 2nd best flush draw and bet out, mid-positon calls, button raises, I call, mid player calls.Turn comes K - I've made a royal! I dont' want to scare off the other two so I check, mid bets, button raises, I reraise, mid folds (tells us later he had 9 :diamond:9 ) button calls.River comes A , I bet button raises, I reraise, button reraises and I cap it. She had AK for Aces full of Kings... Was a nice nice pot for 3/6. :-) :-)
Guest
mine was in a MTT on stars.... A Q from middle position, I raise, flop comes out T K 6 , i get check called by UTG limp/caller..... turn is 9c, he bets out less than pot, i flat call..... river is J , he bets 1/5th the pot, about 3oo-350 into a pot over 1500... i reraise about another 1K, he calls, and doesn't show.... woo hoo!!!the 2nd one ive ever made was also in a MTT on stars, and it was absolutely beautiful... i had set myself up for this, by slowplaying my last 3 big flops, and holding A Q i flop the nut flush, with the board J T 3 . I bet out big, and this fairly observant player reraised all in, and i of course called... he shows K T , turn is K , but i didnt realize i had made a royal... i was waiting for the river to be a K or T and me lose to runner runner boat.... and in fact the river was K , but by then i realized i had made the royal.... wow =)
banker2005 0
First royal flush? It was a $30 buy-in tourney on PokerStars. Were down to 29 and top 20 pay out.I had A T in late position and raised and got called by the big blind. The flop wasQ K K He checks and I bet 1/4 of my stack, he calls. The turn wasQ K K 5 He checks and I go all in. He calls and shows K K so I'm drawing to only a J and it hit! What a lucky card for me, I ended up finishing 12th. I haven't had one since
l337O 0
Royal flush, what's one of those then? I've been playing for 3 years, and not a single one. Many royal draws, but that's as far as it goes. My friend who I taught to play poker hit one on his first night at a penny table at UB  Hellmuth has only ever had 2 royals, and look how long he's been playing poker for.My time will come- Mark
Guest
My one and only royal flush came in a VERY odd way... was playing 4-8 6 handed at stars and was dealt A K in mid position. I raised here and got 4 callers. Flop was 10 J A giving me top pair top kicker with top flush draw... action ended up getting capped at 4 bets with 3 people still in. Turn brought 10 paring the board, again reached 4 bets (I knew I was beat at this point but I wanted to hit my flush) river brough the Q giving me the royal, I swear I almost passed out when that card came out, and once again it was 4 bet. Took down a HUGE pot (for 4-8 ) and the other callers were biffed, one had a straight flush (89TJQ ) and the other had trip 10s
MSR 0
My story is in this topic http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...topic.php?t=542Basically alcohol was involved and I let everyone know I had it, and of course I didn't maximize that pot.
AstroMech 0
Never had royal flush... never had straight flush
Offsuit 0
Only one I ever hit was on the board and I shared it with the rest of the table. Oh well, my time will come.
Wilderness 0
I've never had a royal flush either, although I did have my first straight flush the other day, 8-Q, which was great as I eliminated two players at once, one with a K high flush and the other with the A high flush. Chip_and_a_Chair 0
I was playing in a live tourney and I FLOPPED mine: A K in the hole... limped in with two players... Q J 10 on the flop. Hallelujah, right? Nah. I Checked all the way to the river with no action, made a small bet to draw out some action, and both players folded. I probably could have taken down the same pot with any two cards in my hand.
Tritz 1
I started with the Q J and the flop was T K A then finally the turn brought the A so i went all in and 3 other players at the table called me. It was a live cash game and I won a lot of money. The guy with 4 aces was real mad. Good times. :bubblerocknroll:
elkang 0
*lame royal flush*My only royal flush. In an online tournament, on the flop. Very small pot.I'm much more excited by my BB 7-2, two pair on the flop, full house on boat and then quads on river. Good pot too in a live ring game due to better full house being made on turn which was sadly (for my opponent) slowplayed.
kalel1701 0
I was playing a late night tourney at ParadisePoker. I was in late position and called a raise with A 9 . The action was four handed going to the Flop. The Flop came K 10 8 . There was a bet and a raise, and I called. We were three handed going to the Turn, and the Q came off. There was a lot of action for that betting round. The River card was the J ! I couldn't believe it! I was in the last position and had hit my Royal! It's a good thing it was online, because I'd have never been called on the last round after the all the screaming. First position bet, and the other guy went all in before me! I went all in over the top, and was called by first position. I showed down my Royal against two other smaller flushes! The pot was huge, and I don't even remember how I ended in the tourney rankings. The screen print is framed on my wall!
88Fingers 0
My first real money Royal Flush.
