Best year in my life. January I was minbetament donk, made few $$$. After June I moved out from my parents, and made my income with NL pokah. So, couldn't go better. This was what I was hoping for when I started playing. Sometimes I felt it's not going to happen, but this year proved me wrong. Thank you year 2006.And yeah, no thanks to sucky 2007. One week and I'll be in Finnish Army. Sigh. that sucks.

Congrats on the win earlier...but you should be proud to serve your country. There will be plenty of time for poker and everything else when you get back. This will be a good experience for you.

Thanks. It's easy to say. Be proud etc blah blah. But miss 6 to 12 months of your life jumping in forest when it's freezing out there. Especially if you feel like you're one of the luckiest man alive and wouldn't want to miss a single day.

I started the year playing 1/2 LHE at Party and spent the first 8 months breaking even at 1/2 and 2/4. I eventually got tired of LHE and switched to $100 max NLHE in September. I made about $4K in Sept/Oct before cashing out of Party and moving to Full Tilt. I put $1K into Full Tilt and made another $1K thanks to bonuses and rakeback. I spent about $2K of my profits on a trip to Vegas in November and if I play well again this year, I'll be making the same trip in November again.

Made an effort to actually learn how to play. As a borderline OCD case that involved reading every single poker title on the shelves of my local mega bookstore/coffee shop/cougar pickup joint. (Best read HOH 1/2 - worst read Killer Poker series - most surprising read - Antonio E's book - most fun to read the TJ Cloutier series).Armed with my new found knowledge I proceeded to break even online this year mostly due to a long losing streak on Stars to end the year. Live fared a little better - up $900 and change from 3 trips to Vegas after paying for the flights and hotels. Up $6305 in my home game.Highlight of the year was playing with DN both at his home and at Caesar's (no not the 4K/8K game - it was the FCP Hockey weekend :)Goal for 2007 - win a seat for one of the lower buyin WSOP tourneys.

i have the inability to manage money, still busto.
You can shore as hell pick an avatar though, Bro! :club: I donked off about a dozen $300-400 deposits on different sites, low limit rings. I've read HoH 3x each and follow along in live games but I get frustrated at low limit ring games and try to out fish the fish. I'm up on SnG's about $1k for the year online but most of that has gone through the ring game hole. I started playing live $225 SnG's at the Hard Rock in Tampa around Thanksgiving. First trip turned $400 into $1200 and have been on a tear since. I was involved in a hand on NYE at the stroke of midnight. Took down the pot and made my new years resolution: I will play at least one $1K Circuit Event this year and will pay for the trip at the $225 tables in Tampa. 2007 is definitely my year.
