I took a major berating from OwChS after this hand went down... he kept saying how the call I made was completely idiotic and how far behind I was on that flop to win the hand with the next 2 streets to come...I have the 3rd nuts on that flop, T6 is out of the question unless the players are complete degenerates that would limp it in... so the real hand to worry about is JT - when I eliminated JT in the picture, this was all contingent upon my gut instincts - regardless of the action after I lead the flop. Here's the hand:Full Tilt Poker Game #1422672181: $35 000 Guarantee (9286887) Table 15 - 150/300 Ante 25 - No Limit Hold'em - 22:17:28 ET - 2006/12/16Seat 1: JockScott (9 210)Seat 2: pentil (7 385)Seat 3: XTraCey (7 800)Seat 4: mattg1983 (4 920)Seat 5: SenorPokes (8 470)Seat 6: LorDP (13 250)Seat 7: UconnStyle (6 435)Seat 8: OwChS (13 910)Seat 9: Outkicked33 (9 425)JockScott antes 25pentil antes 25XTraCey antes 25mattg1983 antes 25SenorPokes antes 25LorDP antes 25UconnStyle antes 25OwChS antes 25Outkicked33 antes 25XTraCey posts the small blind of 150mattg1983 posts the big blind of 300The button is in seat #2Holecards:Dealt to XTraCey [6  5 ]FOLD SenorPokesFOLD LorDPUconnStyle calls 300OwChS calls 300FOLD Outkicked33FOLD JockScottFOLD pentilXTraCey calls 150CHECK mattg1983Flop:[9 :spade: 7 :club: 8 :club:]mattg1983: hey tracey glXTraCey has 15 seconds left to actXTraCey bets 1 000FOLD mattg1983UconnStyle raises to 4 425OwChS raises to 13 585 and is all inXTraCey calls 6 475 and is all inUconnStyle calls 1 685 and is all in[/b]OwChS shows [7 :spade: 9 ]XTraCey shows [6  5 ]UconnStyle shows [J :club: 9 :club:]Uncalled bet of 6 110 returned to OwChSTurn :[9 :spade: 7 :club: 8 :club:] [J :spade:]River:[9 :spade: 7 :club: 8 :club: J :spade:] [3 :spade:]OwChS shows two pair Nines and SevensXTraCey shows a straight Nine highXTraCey wins the side pot (2 730) with a straight Nine highUconnStyle shows two pair Jacks and NinesXTraCey wins the main pot (19 755) with a straight Nine highUconnStyle stands upSUMMARY:Total pot 22 485 Main pot 19 755 . Im not a math guy so i have no clue about the odds or w/e....I just don't know about leading into limpers with the "2nd" nuts...I'd much rather c/r shove to look like a flush draw or whatever....with this flop theres almost always going to be a bet by one of the limpers so just check and try to get a c/r in so you're not put to a tough decision, this way u can get 1 or two loose calls...the way this played out it would almost look like a fold, but folding that hand is pretty damn tough online. you're probably not that far behind but you're certainly trying to dodge like 17 outs twice or something...

yea... I really like the point you make about having a less tough decision to make - which is weird because normally when i'm playing, i almost always try and keep myself in these kinds of positions because i would rather be the one applying the pressure and not 'being' pressured.but for some odd reason - the decision to call was almost an instant no-brainer - LOL - what i get for making sure i was high as a kite when i played this and let the instincts drive me

it's ironic that the guy berating you, OwChS, was by far in the worst shape on the flop. with that knowledge, do you really care what he/she has to say? uconn's play makes moderate sense, as does yours, but the guy moving in with top and bottom pair when he's already beat--seemingly without thinking--is the real donk.hand over.

Yep.After the flop the loudmouth is about an 8:1 dog. You're about 40% to win and the guy with the flush & gut shot draws is mildly favored

I can't get over the fact that the guy berating you was about 12% to win when the money went in on the flop and that he limped 79o. What a complete retard. I was a little surprised that you were a slight dog here to the guy with top pair on the flush draw, but all in all, I have no problem with putting all the chips in in this particular spot.

It's having the 3rd party involved that does that in this situation.I found out about how dangreous FD+TP is during the summer and never looked at it the same way again. IMO, WP xTracey, you did about all you could in that situation. It's certainly scary when you're raised and re-raised all in (I'd figure at that point one would have the higher straight), but in online play, you really do never know what the hell people were pushing with.

Like everyone else said, the guy that berated you is the idiot. Last night in a cash game this guy bet at everything. He was SB and I was BB. I had K/J and he limped in..nobody else was in. I caught a King and he bet pot (4 bucks). I called. Turn he bet 12...I called. River he bet 27 and I was scared since third spade hit. But I had to call. He had J/6 (totally nothing). He types, Lol, then "station." I typed ty. That's what you should have typed.
