handsfactor 0
OK so I played in my first Sunday Million last week, and although I made a donktastic move to bust out, I was cruising along pretty well for a while up to 60k about 2 hours in. Last weekend I bought in direct because I won a $4.40 180 man sng, and had said beforehand that if I won it, I was treating it as a sattelite into the Sunday. Now I know the big dogs just buy directly into these events but for the rest of you, what do you think the best way to get into the Sunday Majors. Which sattelites are easy or give away a ton of seats, and which ones tend to get you in the cheapest?
Fencer04 0
I am using the double shootouts because you get 3x your money back for winning the first table. They give away 2 seats for the $215 and 1 for the $530. I prefer them because they are shorter and the return is good for the effort if you don't get the ticket.
Wandigo 1
There's a nice $36+$3 satellite that runs and is very easy. Either this or the $3+r would be my suggestion.

STYLINHAWYN 0
2ndTURBO!i have to aggree, the turbo shootouts are money. the players are very bad, but you also have to know what you are doing. I suggest learning how to beat turbo sng's first before attempting to play these.hey GWC, you were just in the same turbo shootout that I just won. got amazingly lucky at FT and battled back from being shortstacked the whole time. had 520 chips @ 100/200 25 ante @ 4 handed gl and see you @ the tables
bdc30 0
The only times I've had any success at sat'ing in are the tourneys they run on sunday in the late morning and early afternoon. I got in through an $11 rebuy and a $39 one. Seem to be a LOT of people enrolling in these. I think the $11 one gave away like 95 seats out of 600 entries or something. bigbadbeat 0
$12 turbo sngs seem good to me, played about 30 this week, 1 win, 8 or 9 final tables, decent profit.Player quality very uneven, some very good, some very bad
terradawg 0
i've played the $11+R turbos and they are pretty easy.
CodyHartman 0
good thread, thanks for the info guys. GWC...(Gary), you've had lots of sucess in the $11 DS right? If I remember right you have accumulated lots of T$ this way correct?

Flushgarden 0
Some people prefer one to the other, but I think they're pretty much the same. I've won a few tickets through shootouts and a few through rebuy tourneys. I'm not sure which one I like the best. The tourneys are good as long as you can get lucky in the first half hour and build a decent stack without spending too much. But if you cant catch and double a couple times you end up spending too much money...and as the blinds get higher it gets harder and harder to catch up to the field. There are some horrible players in the SnGs...but even so, in turbos a good player doesn't have as much of an advantage as they would in a slower structure.A good player will make a consistant profit either way...but they can be frustrating. Anybody who is good enough to beat them consistantly is probably better off playing something else. Turbos suck IMO.
Flushgarden 0
I just played in a $13 double shootout. 3 handed at the end of the first table. ChrisRichey 1
The double shootouts are actually the worst option for sats, and the $3+R are fairly difficult due to the fact that not very many people get seats. IQCrash has been very consistent in these sats, and he usually qualifies through the $36+3 sats. Here is a very good post from 2+2 about sats, and why the DS are the worst option- Quick guide to satelite qualifying for big events
