The " Feel Good" Station

Recommended Posts

i'm not sure if i am over the 30/30 new topic requirement, but i would like to see some feel-good moments posted here. rivering the big win, winning the big heads up match, or otherwise having a magic moment where you remember everything you love about poker.we all love to dwell on the bad ones, but let us not forget the grand!

I won an MTT once. It was like a year ago, and I barely remember the feeling, but I think that felt pretty good.

i searched and found this one to get the ball rolling. $11 180 on ps, short stacked just in the money. money doesn't go up until 5 or 6 more die, so my only requirement for this push was that everyone folded to me. this propelled me to 6th place. shortstack ninja, baby.PokerStars Game #6964375994: Tournament #35540743, $10+$1 Hold'em No Limit - Level XI (600/1200) - 2006/11/10 - 03:26:55 (ET)Table '35540743 3' 9-max Seat #9 is the buttonSeat 2: Roizzle (9748 in chips) Seat 3: pingz (29141 in chips) Seat 4: ebi369 (82462 in chips) Seat 5: DCSportsfan (27590 in chips) Seat 6: El Fishboy (20294 in chips) Seat 7: DEISEL48 (31304 in chips) Seat 8: Saskman (62720 in chips) Seat 9: qyayqi (6741 in chips) Roizzle: posts the ante 75pingz: posts the ante 75ebi369: posts the ante 75DCSportsfan: posts the ante 75El Fishboy: posts the ante 75DEISEL48: posts the ante 75Saskman: posts the ante 75qyayqi: posts the ante 75Roizzle: posts small blind 600pingz: posts big blind 1200*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to qyayqi [Qd 6s]ebi369: folds DCSportsfan: folds El Fishboy: folds DEISEL48: folds Saskman: folds qyayqi: raises 5466 to 6666 and is all-inRoizzle: folds pingz: calls 5466*** FLOP *** [2s Jh Kd]*** TURN *** [2s Jh Kd] [Qh]*** RIVER *** [2s Jh Kd Qh] [5d]*** SHOW DOWN ***pingz: shows [Tc Ts] (a pair of Tens)qyayqi: shows [Qd 6s] (a pair of Queens)qyayqi collected 14532 from potEl Fishboy said, "GROSS"*** SUMMARY ***Total pot 14532 | Rake 0 Board [2s Jh Kd Qh 5d]Seat 2: Roizzle (small blind) folded before FlopSeat 3: pingz (big blind) showed [Tc Ts] and lost with a pair of TensSeat 4: ebi369 folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 5: DCSportsfan folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 6: El Fishboy folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 7: DEISEL48 folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 8: Saskman folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 9: qyayqi (button) showed [Qd 6s] and won (14532) with a pair of Queens

That's pretty standard for Stars.

Not gonna post a rail thread for it, but I just made the final table of an $11 180-man SnG on Stars. I have a pretty nice chiplead at the moment too. I'd say this is a pretty decent feeling, but it'll be much better if I win.

So...I just took down and $11 Stars 180-man. SnG. :D:club::D Words can barely describe it. $540 isn't a huge about of money, but it increases my current roll by almost 33%. Puts me back ahead for the month. Wow, just wow. I got down to 4-handed with a chiplead, got bluffed out of a pretty big pot when I had top pair no kicker with A3 and a flush came on the river, villain showed JTo for pretty much nothing, then I got down real short when my A5 lost to a shortstack's A7, but I battled back and made it HU at about a 2-1 chip disadvantage. I scratched and clawed to get it to 163k to 106k, then the big hand came up...my opponent min-raised to 8k with blinds at 2k/4k and I re-raised to 20k with Ac3c, he called and the flop came down 7s5s4h, I bet out 20k and he moved all-in. I was getting like 1.8-1 and I decided to gamble with my double gutterball, villain flipped over Ad2d and I was in great shape, almost free-rolling. Turn was a 6 to win me the pot outright and I took a solid chiplead and never looked back. On the final hand, I had a bit over 200k and villain had 67k, blinds were 3k/6k and I raised to 18k on the button with 66, villain moved all-in and I called and busted the mighty Krablar, Ks3s. And the sweet taste of victory is mine. Now I'm not gonna be able to sleep for a while.

I pwned 2 regulars and a tourist at the $10/20 game at the Mirage today. I remember now why I only played 6max online....I'm not so great with the "patience" thing. YAY for me!

<laugh> that'll leave mark, double-busto for the big guy.
Last year, down to my last $1.50 on Stars. Finished reading HOH and was waiting for a deposit bonus period. Decided to throw $1.10 into a 45-player sng.Won that, won my next $5.50 single table sng and turned that $1.50 into $1300+.HOH has helped, as well as bankroll management tips given on this forum. Cards at the right time also help! :DThe swings at $2/$4 and $3/$6 are a lot different than the 0.05/0.10, let me tell you!

my favoritest luckboxing was about a year ago:i'm HU in the final 2 of the big deal on ongame, i get K10 on the button, raise 'er up, dude calls. flop comes 7 high, he checks, i bet, he raises HUGE, i make a donktastic misclick and RAISE him instead of folding, he instashoves, but now i'm priced in with 2 overs and a backdoor draw, so i call and type "sorry in advance, misclick" in the chat.river 10, K10>A7, ship the 15k about four hands later. WOOT.

It was the first ever Toronto FCP Championship at the Charlotte Room and I was the outright chip leader with only 6 players left.I was UTG with KK and checkymcfold was directly to my right on the BB with a short stack. Checky had already shown that he could push with just about anything on a short stack and I had a maniac-like image because..well, I'm kind've a maniac :D I decide to put in a smallish raise to 2.5 BB (which was pretty standard for me at that time) and like I was hoping checky moved all-in and I called. If I'm not mistaken checky had 86 and the flop was a safe 3-7-JThe turn was a ten and then the river spiked a 9 which gave checky a straight.wait a minute... :club: well, it made checky "feel good" anyways
