Your Most Donktastic Moment Ever?

Recommended Posts

The second time I ever logged onto Full Tilt I was scrolling the list of $5.50 SNG's and I saw one with red on it (A pro was playing) and I saw that 8 of 9 people had signed up, so I clicked on it as fast as possible and registered. The table starts and it's Chris Ferguson playing! This was during his prop bet to turn 10,000 from 0 playing nothing but online. Anyways, the cards get dealt I soon realize we're playing 7-Card Stud, a game I had never played before but had seen played, so I kinda knew what was going on. The very first hand I get 3 Jacks dealt to me, so I raise it. Chris re-raises with an A showing, so I figure he's either got a heavy draw or another A. Fourth street comes and it's a 10, Chris gets a 5. I bet, he raises, I call. Fifth street comes and I get another 10 for a full house and he gets a 4. I bet, he raises, I re-raise, he caps and I call. We cap sixth and seventh street as well. Now, by this time I've called my brother (Who got me into the game and tricked me into putting real money into it) to find me cause I was about to take a huge pot off Chris Ferguson. Finally the hand is dealt and we've capped 7th street and magically all of the chips go to Chris!! I couldn't figure it out. Doesn't a full house beat a straight?!Then my brother started laughing louder than I've ever heard before. We were playing Razz.........Chris even typed 'lol' into the chat box. I wouldn't be supprised if he called some bodies to make fun of me. LOL. :club:

I've done it a few times, only in cash games. The funny thing is, when I'm playing pretty tight 7stud, I can go a good 15 min before realizing its 7stud8. As much as Chirs Ferg has played poker I'm sure thats not the first time he's seen it, in fact, I wouldn't doubt he's seen that kinda thing in live play.

If it makes you feel any better there are stories of people not knowing what game they're playing in the big game as well as in the 50K HORSE WSOP. Of course those are mixed games where the game changes but I've actually sat down at a limit SNG accidentally several times and an Omaha SNG that I managed to unregister from in time.

My most donktastic moment ever includes me playing the krablar in a live 1/2 NL game.I held K :club: 3 :D The board read 4 :D 6 :D 9 :club: 7 :) 5 :) I shoved all in on the river after the turn went check/check and he called, I proudly turned my straight flush over thinking he had the ace of diamonds and began the krablar shuffle, a must whenever the krablar wins a pot. Just as I finished making the pinching motions towards the ceiling with my hands I looked back to see him turn over 8 :) 9 :diamond:I hung my head in shame on my way out the door and haven't been to a B&M since.

Oh man, that's hilarious. Props for the dance though, nobody does it live.

This was my last hand of a no limit holdem cash game that I played a while back.I was dealt ace deuce in the small blind. It was a limped pot. The flop came down:A, 2, TI bet. Only the big blind called.Turn:A, 2, T, 3I bet. Big blind called.River:A, 2, T, 3, 3I go all-in. Big blind called and showed 3, 4.As the big blind is trying to scoop the pot, I start yelling over and over again that we still have one more card to see. The whole table is trying to explain to me that all the cards are in fact out. I count the cards laying in the middle of the table very carefully but still insist i get to see another card... im still waiting for 6th street.

OP - Thats awesome. My most donktastic story was about 2 months ago playing in a bar league free roll tourny. I managed to get down to Heads Up. The dude I was playing HU with had a laminated hand ranking card to tell him what hands beat what. One hand the turn paired the board and he goes to his card and starts his finger at top pair and scrolls his finger down the card, gets about half way, looks @ the board, continues scrolling his finger, looks @ the board, scrolls down and stops his finger @ the full house, looks back @ the board then declares "raise". I folded.Oh yea the donktastic part, he won the tournament

We have girls come to out home games with cheat sheets all the time. There was one girl who would put her chips in her pocket, she didnt know she needed to leave them out on the table and I guess nobody had noticed at all. I raise her enough to put her all in with something like top pair weak kicker knowing shes probably going to fold because she is low on chips, then she goes to her pocket and raises enough to put me all in. At that point I was drunk enough to where I was totally oblivious to what had just happened I fold. Five minutes later I figure out what she is doing and spark off the biggest argument I have been in in the past five years.

This was the worst for me as at the time i thought i was a bad *** player. So i had been trying out tournaments at the local indian casino after I had been playin poker for about two months. Saw a little on T.V. and thought I can do this. So you get $2500tc to start and here i go first good hand AQs call (yeah I was real bad ***) flop A9rag. Someone pushes all in I instacall they show A9 and I hit a Q on the turn to double up. So I get a couple other luck plays and I am up to about 12,000tc, mind you I had been playin for about two months and thought i really knew the game. Blinds at this point are 200/400 and I get JJ in EP and raise 2,000. Some lady on the button calls and the BB moves all in for 4,500. I call as does the lady. Flop comes KQ5 I want to take the pot so I bet 2,500 (I now have 5,000 left) and the lady calls. Now I am figuring she has a K or Q but of course unsure. So the turn comes another rag and I bet 2,000 (awesome play by the way) and she of course calls. Now the river comes yet another rag and this time I decide to check. The lady bets out 1,000. Now mind you I had a great feeling she had a queen or King and being the great poker player i was felt that i could lay down a good hand if i was sure i was beat. so what do i do...I lay it down and she turns over...66 and the BB turned over AJ and I forever hate that hand as my most donktastik moment ever.Peace

well worst call i ever made was :i raise to $11 with a9o 4 handed from sb after cutoff open limps. (hes a fish that plays everything and calls any raise preflop with any two and raises when he hits bottom pair) Cutoff calls and we see a flop of 9c6h8c im first and i bet $24 into the pot of $24 and he min raises me just like i thought he would (he really would with any of those pairs) well i repopped it to $156 and he insta min raises me to $250. At this point i was 75%-95% sure i was beat and beat pretty bad. i put him on str8 or two pair. After overthinking it i pushed for $500 in the final seconds of my time bank.turn.....8river....9he mucks the str8
