offset 0
Don't know anything about my opponent, but he has not seemed to do anything out of line. The thing I hate most is when I don't get full value out of my hands. I took a long time to figure out what to do on the turn and I thought that gave away my hand. Obviously I hate the river and am praying he has a good ten.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)MP ($26.85)Hero ($62.80)Button ($85.55)SB ($97.25)BB ($55.65)UTG ($100.90)Preflop: Hero is CO with 8 , Q . SCS 0
I'd bet a little more on the river, about 18-20.Also, I raise the turn the majority of the time. But calling works too. Depends on opponent.
offset 0
Bump. Any more advice? I'm still kind of lost on this hand.
Peak01 0
Raise the turn to $20. I prefer to take it down on the turn than let a draw catch up.
No_Neck 0
I bet $4 on the flop $15 on the turn and $30 on the river.
krup24 0
I bet $4 on the flop $15 on the turn and $30 on the river.Well we are OOP in the hand and UTG is betting into us until the river where he checks.I actually think OP played the hand decently. I could see a bit of argument for a turn raise protecting against both flush draws. As played the river bet is perfect IMO. All overpairs and AT call it and most middle pairs 66,77,99 occassionally AK.
DonkSlayer 1
I really like how this hand was played out. I think we got max value and I think $12 was a really good bet unless we know the villain is prone to wanting to sheriff what look like steals. I don't think that anybody that has replied here so far isn't smart, but why are we betting more on the flop and turn to "push out draws" and then wanting to bet the river harder when none of them made it? Whiskey16 1
As played, I think the 1/2 pot bet is the right value bet on the river. I think I'd raise the turn to 18-20, and charge for the draws. If we take it down at that point, it's not a bad thing. This also builds the pot for a bigger value bet on the river, which in position, I think is ideal.
