digitalmonkey 929
1 - Cheap Thieves LOSSIn a goalie vs. goalie matchup, Cheap Thieves NYR goalies bested my Anaheim goalies. That combined with a great performance by Jussi Jokinen was all the Cheap Thieves needed. Anson Carter shit the bed again for the Gothic.2 - Legend Killers WINAnother goalie vs. goalie matchup had my goalies on the short end. However, the Gothic was able to pull out the victory in overtime when Tyler Arnason outscored Taylor Pyatt.4 - Greaseballs LOSSHere's a game where I really didn't think I had a chance going in. However, Greaseballs needed a late goal by Zdeno Chara to pull out the victory. If not for that goal the Gothic would have won in a shootout.6 - The Big M's LOSSA six-game night had given me some hope until I saw that the Big M's were still able to dress a roster including Ovechkin, Spezza, Lecavalier, Selanne, etc... Two goals by Ovechkin against my Ottawa goalies was one of the worst things that could've happened.9 - Purple Hearts WINThe Purple Hearts managed to get some production from some of their players, but their Los Angeles goalies gave up 7 goals. I got clutch goals from Tucker and Axelsson and Kevin Dallman chipped in with a rare point. My Anaheim goalies were clutch once again. The Canadian Gothic has filed a missing persons report for Anson Carter.10 - Swackers LOSSThis was a game I had pencilled in as a loss. I put up a good fight with some rare production from guys like Gary Roberts and Anson Carter, but Swackers players Dany Heatley and Wade Redden (who chose tonight to wake up) proved too much. Note: I would have beaten division rivals Ghosts of Elvis, Cheap Thieves and Mustangs tonight. Bad luck I tells ya. Baaaad luck!11 - Red Ravens WINI was down by 1.5 late, but a couple of assists by Todd White and an assist by Matthew Lombardi late in the Calgary game gave me the win in overtime. Woohoo!13 - Ingmen LOSSThings started off bad when my OT player Nils Ekman was scratched and just got worse with Eminger, Niinimaa, Schubert and Calder continuing to shit the bed.15 - Mustangs LOSSMy Anaheim goalies picked tonight to suck. Giving up 7 goals will seldom earn you a win even against a team as dismal as the Mustangs.16 - Rug Rats WINA big win tonight against the division leader. Minnesota goalies give up 6 goals which seals the deal for the Gothic.17 - Shootloose WINA huge win tonight against one of the strongest teams in the league. Tyler Arnason wins another game for the Gothic in overtime. WOOT!18 - Cheap Thieves WINThe Canadian Gothic win a third game in a row to move into sole possesion of 2nd in the division and 3rd in the conference behind only the Rug Rats and Shoot Loose. This win is especially satisfying because it came on a Saturday night.20 - Red Ravens WINThe Canadian Gothic pulls out another close one for the 4th win in a row.22 - Ravag LOSSThe Gothic had the win late, but a shootout loss by Anaheim Goalies cost them a point.24 - Screamin' Eagles WINA surprise here as Canadian Gothic defeats a strong Eagles lineup. This win is big as the Mustangs, the Cheap Thieves and the Ghosts of Elvis all lost.25 - Dirty Trix LOSSDirty Trix was able to tap into a great performance from Paul Stastny to pick up the win. It is interesting to note that Stastny was taken with the pick directly before the Gothic management was going to pick him.28 - Cheap Thieves LOSSThieves got a timely goal from Roman Hamrlik to pull out the win in the first of back to back games.30 - Cheap Thieves WINThe Canadian Gothic get great performances from Tyler Arnason and Zbynek Michalek to take the second game.My lofty goal this month is 9 wins - 9 losses (18 points)So far...9 wins - 8 losses - 1 OT loss (19 points)The month's goal was achieved and I even picked up a bonus point. The Canadian Gothic continues to surprise. The month of December will determine the team's direction for the rest of the season.

digitalmonkey 929
very lofty goal..by the way after the commish fixes things..I am no longer last..and tied with you...then 2 of next 3 easy wins against Dirty Trix..Reality catching up to uCongrats, you're tied with an expansion team. That's a great accomplishment, you must be proud. Unfortunately for you I will be improving while you, at best, will remain at the level you are now.
nell789 0
I enjoy how Serge really has no chance of ever "winning" the trash talk with DM. If DM is ahead of serge in the standings, or beats him in a game, he can rub it in saying "I'm an expansion team and I'm still beating you". If serge is ahead of the monkey, or beats him in a game, DM has a foolproof defense of "Oh wow, you're ahead of an expansion team. Are you also beating Nate? Congratulations."It's a lose/lose for Serge.

I will have a younger, better team next season which should continue for the next few years.Serge, on the other hand will have pretty much the same team he has this season which, surprisingly, won't be enough to get into the playoffs next season either. Add the fact that he's sacrificed a number of his draft picks (and future) for cash to be able to sign the same team next year. Tell us how you'll have so much cash you can pay Jagr $25 next season, Serge. Tell us what you'll do the season after that when you don't have the cash anymore and don't have the prospects to call up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------On another note:Congratulations to the OHL's player of the month Bryan Little. Little is a Canadian Gothic prospect taken 5th overall in the 2006 AHL entry draft. Little will get a shot at making Atlanta's roster next season. You got any good prospects Serge? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!Scaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat chard!

DanielNegreanu 141
I bolded the funniest one.4-5 years before Schremp and Little make an impact? Are you a geologist? I found that to be the funniest comment as well. Tanabe isn't going to develop into squat. If bodychecks counted I'd love to have a guy like Regher on my team. Serge, I don't think either your team or the Gothic will make the playoffs this year OR next year. In two years from now, Gothic will have a chance if he still has great goaltending, but your team will be the worst in our division. Yours or the Rats, but it will clearly be a two horse race for last. The Ghosts and Thieves will qualify for the playoffs next season. This season has been a weird one. It's very possible that only Shoot Loose will make the playoffs in the AHL West. The Hearts are looking terrible, so outside of the Ravens, there is no playoff team in that division.edit: I forgot, next year more teams will make the playoffs. My statement should read top two in our division.
