Recommended Posts

Hi guys,I'm probably going to go vegas for about 2 months for a mixture of work/poker. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay for this period of time, nothing too expensive. I've heard budget suites is ok and about $200 per week or so. I'd like to be close to the casinos, so I can walk if poss. All suggestions welcome, ty for your help.

Also consider Emerald Suites. All rooms have broadband hookups, and the one on Tropicana is surprisingly not bad. I forget what I paid, but it wasn't that much more expensive than what your estimate for Budget Suites is.

pfff, get your work to pay and stay at the wynn, You can play poker and get dicsount rates too, that would be sweet to live at the wynn, you'd be like Richard Gere from pretty woman.so dreamy
Wynn is insanely overpriced....don't get me wrong, its sick and all, but really not worth 400 a night for a standard room...at least thats what I payed in late june. Two friends and I stayed at the suite in the bellagio and we payed I think 500 for it (maybe 600), then the next day it was booked so we went to a suite at the wynn, and I didn't like it as much as bellagio and it was about 800 a night i think... I don't know, wynn is cool but Bellagio pwns all imo.

were you comparing the size/look of the suite? I mean besides the fact that the beds are like clouds of heaven, the 27in LCD TV at the foot of your bed, and the marble shower / bath.. what more do u need in a room?I personally like the Terrace Cafe, and pool for mornings at the Wynn, thats my selling feature on why i'd go back

Thanks for this, its quite expensive though compared to the budget suites, I dunno if the quality is worth it though? Its basically nearly double the price.

Call the Plaza, Tell them how long u are coming for and ask them for the "House Rates" it works out to like 25-35 a night. They may even give u a better deal if they know how long u are staying. Nice place, if u gamble alot they will probably upgrade your suite for you.I would definately check into it its downtown so its close to the nugget binions etc.. they also run a pretty nice daily tournament. They will shuttle you to the strip, and i think a cab or limo was only like 20 - 50 bucks.Message me if u want i think i have their phone number on my cell.

You tell no lie, although the couple of times I've stayed there I didn't really see a difference between the VIP Resort Rooms and the regular rooms... just a "private entrance" and a few more pools on the top... Those beds though are very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub is a really nice bonus.
