bdc30 0
I was in an $11+R satellite to the Sunday Million today, we're down to 94 players, at the hand-for-hand stage. Top 90 get tickets. I'm in virtually no danger of losing a seat unless I blow myself out of the water, but it's not like I have any extra chips to be donking off to a guy playing his A4 like it's golden at this point and finding the miracle ace.....Is THIS the time to fold kings, or do you still "never" fold them???PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t12000 (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Button (t33559)SB (t11130)BB (t42442)UTG (t13358)UTG+1 (t6555)MP1 (t10780)Hero (t30546)MP3 (t25009)CO (t14750)Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K , K . Stealth Beagle 0
Easy fold. Why even get involved in a hand at this point?

KoRnholio 2
Good fold. You have enough chips to ride it out until 4 more people are knocked out.
timwakefield 69
Insta-fold. There are like 4 people just at your table about to go out. The "never fold kings preflop" mantra doesn't apply in satellites.
Flushgarden 0
If you play this hand you're an idiot. It looks like you have a good sized stack...no need to play any hand at all unless maybe you're in the BB with aces and a very short stack (1/5 your stack or less) has pushed and everybody else has folded...then maybe you could call because the odds are good for getting somebody out with minimal risk to your stack. If I get aces in any other position I'd fold. HangukMiguk 8
why no?wait, nvm, i didn't see where we only had 2.5BB left, or the fact that we're in a satellite. I just saw the fact we're folding KK in MPI don't think I get away from this in normal play at all. However, in satellites, you can fold even AA preflop in the hopes of winning a seat. Zach6668 513
bdc, I actually folded KK preflop in a cash game the other day, and was right, obv, so I'm off the never fold KK camp, now it's 99.999% of the time, never fold KK..lol Good fold here though,

GuYuTe 0
Yes, easy fold. You could fold AA here as well. As long as your chances of making the ticket are higher than the risk of losing with AA, or KK in this example fold it. It's that simple.
Abbaddabba 0
The average person seems to have about 3 blinds, and you have enough to last another 13 or so hands. No way in hell 4 people wont get knocked out before then.Obviously if you're UTG+1 with 1.5 or fewer blinds left, you might want to reconsider calling here.

DrawingDeadInDM 0
What a dumb thread.Obviously if you had paid any attention at all to the 'Never Fold KK Preflop' camp you'd know that was in reference strictly to cash games, not satelites. What is this, your third or fourth time creating a thread for the express purpose of trying to justify folding KK preflop? Congrats, you found it.
TheCinciKid 0
It's a satellite, you have plenty of chips and there are only 4 people left to be eliminated. You should never play any hand here including Kings and Aces. Maybe, maybe you can try to steal from bigger stacks if you're in late position, but it looks like you've got enough chips that don't even need to do that.

Especially in these lower buy-in satellites, the medium stacks will somehow find a way to get it all-in against a big stack and knock themselves out.

Look at the amount of garbage that gets posted here. At least this was poker related...

hblask 1
I made a call like this recently with one person left to the bubble, and the small stack about to be blinded out in two hands. Opponent had AA. It was a minimum $280 mistake.I hate myself. You gotta fold.
