BigDMcGee 3,355
This lakers team would have been great in 1990, when old, slow and conventional wasn't a liability.

FCP Bob 1,321
This made me chuckle netw3rk@netw3rk Next reporter to interview Dwight—pretend you got a text that LA hired Stan & ask for Dwight to comment. Take a video of this.

Essay21 2,387
seriously, the more i think about it the more awesome it would be if kobe was named player coach.

SuperJon 175
Plus, would Jackson actually sign that long of a deal?
FCP Bob 1,321
Plus, would Jackson actually sign that long of a deal? I said oooops, do you want me to keep adding o's
SuperJon 175
I said oooops, do you want me to keep adding o's Maybe like 10 o's would be sufficient. But actually it was more a hypothetical question, not really related to your first post. I just don't see Jackson signing a 3 year deal since he really did seem like he was done the last time he retired.
FCP Bob 1,321
Steven Nash should be happy now. I'm not sure The Lakers have the shooters to run D'Antoni's offense but I guess we'll see.
BigDMcGee 3,355
What to do with Metta is the real issue. He's the worst perimeter offensive starter in the league.. Plus Pau and Dwight are rather redundant in the D'antoni offense. I think you should package Pau and Metta and trade for a 4 that can shoot and a 3 that can, you know.. move. SuperJon 175
If the Lakers actually want to compete for a title, they really should try to find a way to strengthen their bench.

FCP Bob 1,321
I watched some of the Lakers game last night vs The Cavs and D Howard looked invisible on offense and not that dominant on defense. Is he still hurt ?
Essay21 2,387
all the stuff i hear about dwight leads me to say yes, he is still hurt. people estimating he is near 70%. i think SVG said so on the lebatard podcast.
SuperJon 175
This might be a long season for Lakers fans. Even when Nash comes back. Which sucks, because even though I still root for Orlando, I like to see Kobe do well. I know people have said that Mike D'Antoni's system isn't great for this team. Honestly, I don't even think he's that great of coach. Of course, aside from Jackson, I'm not sure of what other realistic options they had.
SuitedAces21 2,723
whiskers your tweeted trade inspired me. and as awesome as that trade would be, i went a little more realistic with some trades that would totally change the team. http://espn.go.com/n...tradeId=crxx8yj http://espn.go.com/n...tradeId=bcbrw7f nash kobe barnes AK 47 deandre ridnour j crawford metta pekovic they could play small and really score the ball with nash crawford kobe metta deandre
Whiskers 680
whiskers your tweeted trade inspired me. and as awesome as that trade would be, i went a little more realistic with some trades that would totally change the team. Are you suggesting that the Lakers can't get Lebron for MWP? How about this: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=b5279po Rudy Gay to Utah, Millsap to the Lakers, MWP and Mo Williams to Memphis.
SuitedAces21 2,723
one i just did was pau for andre iggy and wilson chandler. i really think that would help the lakers. because pau shouldn't be on this team. of course, galinari would be best, but i doubt they give him up. FCP Bob 1,321
So Gasol coming off the bench and he's not happy. Howard not taking a lot of shots and he's not happy. Kobe playing worse defense than a pylon and his teammates must not be happy.
