Poppy_Hillis 11
World Championship > Regular season win (at home)Ok I'm an asshole.GG...and I'm sure we'll do it again in June.No kidding. That's the only reason I didn't bust a nut today. It actually kinda depressed me that they won today, but lost in the Finals. That's how I think and I cannot help it. I hate myself. Was I the only one who laughed out load when VAn Gundy said he thought Houston would beat the Lakers in the playoffs this year and make the finals?Seems real likely there buddy. He's been saying it basically all season. Cmon you know he's all over McGrady's nuts. It's definitely premature, but if they're healthy and clicking they're going to be a big problem. So basically if they meet past the 1st rd it's going to be scary.and i could give myself a blow job if my **** was 2 feet long.Actually all you need is about 9" if you're somewhat flexible. You bitches just dont understand the depths of the Machine. Sasha is the fucking man, man. So he came out of the closet? You have no idea what Sasha does to the women of LA. You don't even realize.

Cappy37 0
Goes purse shopping with them?lol. On a serious note, that was one heck of a game. Ariza was all over the place and Kobe did his thing. One thing that really stood out to me: Gasol starting to emerge as a mentally tough player. He was off his game in the 4th and Garnett was abusing him at times, but he stepped up and went on a tear to close out the game. The games you dominate for 4 quarters are one the thing.. The games where you take a couple strong hits to the jaw and get back off the canvas and then take over are the games that elevate you to the next tier.
babylondonks 5
I've watched the first quarter so far. The Celtics Defense looks horrible, absolutely horrible. Most lax I've seen it in a long time, they are clogging the lanes well but not covering the perimeter, and Kobe should never be open to receive a pass inside the 3-pt line. Rondo looked good after picking up two fouls and starting to use his quickness to get some nice buckets, he seemed to become tentative later on though. Bryant playing on him is completely ****ing with his mind. So my question is why isn't Ray getting the ball to abuse Fisher? Sigh, lots of bad turnovers. Our offense has such potential and looks so nice some nights, and other nights it's disgusting. Lakers are playing the Celtics almost perfectly on the defensive end. I'll be back if I see anything else

Please.A Pierce/House pick and pop shouldn't be the best offensive play we have with our personnel, but somehow it is. I'm not saying letting Ray throw up shots is what I want, but when you have three all-stars on your roster you should be exploiting mismatches, not letting Rondo dribble at the top of the key for 16 seconds wondering whether he has the courage to take the open jumper. Obviously Bryant is going to get catches inside, especially with Ray defending him, but our first quarter defense was uninspired to say the least. Also, I like Ariza. Poppy_Hillis 11
Might want to throw Deal or No Deal into the DVR mix tomorrow, Kobe's going to be on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95Q4qD4CRBY
slt1der 0
Also, I like Ariza.Favorite Laker so far this season. Whenever he's on the floor, the defense picks up dramatically. Now when he develops a consistent jumper.... watch out league.
BigDMcGee 3,354
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95Q4qD4CRBYhis family are fcking retarded as hell. That's a no brain deal. what kind of god damn degenerates are they, anyway? He was only losing a little value by taking that deal, no way it's worth the risk of losing.. coupled with getting to go on a rape spree with Kobe? No brainer.
Poppy_Hillis 11
Now when he develops a consistent jumper.... watch out league. Will never happen until he gets rid of that awful hitch just before his release. I never noticed it until I saw it in person, it's a wonder he ever makes a shot.

Cappy37 0
Merry late Xmas on getting a Roy-less Blazers at Staples tomorrow.Yeah, Portland beat Boston without Roy, but Boston was getting their first taste on what actual West Coast teams (legitimate competition) can do to Eastern paper champs. The Lakers have been beating real teams on a regular basis, and Lamarcus Aldridge isn't the same player as the primary focus of the opposing D.This sucks, I really wanted to give you guys a game for bragging rights. While it's true I'm on a complete freeroll (Portland ain't supposed to win), but meh... GL.If anyone has Phil's cell #, tell him to give Outlaw all the open shots from 18ft+ out that he wants, and it'll be double digits by halftime.

As well as Ariza and Bynum. That's five of my guys in my fantasy team in one game. Cmon Outlaw and Ariza, need you guys to hit like 6 treys between the two of you and need Aldridge to explode for maybe like 30 pts? Is it too much to ask for 6 steals between these five guys? I fully expect Outlaw to put up 20 shots, so I'm glad I'll be helping someone move and missing the game. I don't think my heart could take it.Brandon's out 7 - 10 days. Just bleh.... Just bleh....They could've used Brandon Roy tonight. It looked like the only Blazer who came to play was LA. That guy is sick. His midrange game is so fluid. If he adds a low post game to it, wow. That's like the missing piece to him being a legitimate all-star/superstar. Also, I think the Blazers offense should run through LA as the first option at all times.

Poppy_Hillis 11
superstition.Well as long as I've been watching basketball, it's happened to the Lakers more times than I can count.Unrelated: They're replaying Game 7 of 2000 WCF:-Thanks for showing up Shaq. He hit his free throws atleast-Total Blazer choke job-Brian Shaw saved us-Kobe 25/11/7/4bs-TO was a Shaq groupie then-Pippen was so close twice to a completely different legacy; perhaps altering Jordan's a bit
Cappy37 0
Also, I think the Blazers offense should run through LA as the first option at all times. No, because LA couldn't pass out of a double team to save his life. That's why he's not the focus on offense. Not that Roy's dynamite at it or anything, but putting 2 defenders directly on LA turns him into Greg f*cking Oden.Well as long as I've been watching basketball, it's happened to the Lakers more times than I can count.Unrelated: They're replaying Game 7 of 2000 WCF:-Thanks for showing up Shaq. He earned his 20 million just for stepping on the court, circa 2000.Blazers couldn't beat the 8 on 5 press, so the were stuck shooting jumpers. I really am not wanting to rehash this, since we'll never agree.Brian Shaw stepped up on quite a few occasions for the Lakers. He's not Horry, but he had quite a few shots/games in the postseasons of old.Kobe's always good. God I'd be bored having to root for him, seriously. Part of the reason I always hated the Bulls. Here's the surprising part of my post: I *hated* Scotty Pippen with a passion. $#!tty ballhander, horrid at running an offense, poor shooter, by the time he hit Portland his athleticism was gone and *all* he had going for him was that gritty veteran experience. Seriously, outside of his knowledge of the triangle and how to defend it, he brought ZERO to the table for the blazers. When they started playing him as point forward, it was the begining of the end.I can emphasize this enough. Miami's last year and a half with Shaq is the equivalent to the Blazer's years with Pippen. Once a month Pippen would have that 30-8-8 game and get on sportscenter and then crawl back into his hole. Truth be told, from the day he was traded to the Rockets from Chicago, he was never the same player again. I'm not even sure it was the lack of MJ.. I think the Bull's Jersey had some Frosty the Snowman Mojo.On a side note, my buddy's season ticks were so good one year (before he moved, damn him) that we were in like row 4, 2 rows in *front* of Pippen's wife. lol. She never talked. She was really pretty. I enjoyed more than anything the waiters who would come to your seat and hand deliver your jalepeno cheese pretzel and big gulp. Part of the reason I don't go to games anymore is I'd miss those seats too much. But yeah, to sum up: Pippen sucked, and if he won a title with Portland, it'd be a testament to Sabonis, Steve Smith, Sheed, Bonzi, and Damon... Would have 0 to do with Pippen and his gigantic contract.

When Jordan was retired for the first time, he was still excellent and led the bulls to 55 wins and the second round of the playoffs.
