Christine Gregoire (D )
I voted this ***** into office two years ago when she won by like 100 votes. God, wish I had known she was bout to sell her soul to the devil (aka the indian casinos in washington)... wish I could vote her out now, at the time I just thought the republican guy was kind of a jackass. The problem is he would have voted against online gambling too. I expect that sort of bullshit from republicans but when the demos do it too I feel so disappointed :club:

Jim LeachBob GoodlatteJim Leach got voted out!!!It isn't just a Dems vs. GOP thing. I happen to be a D, but there are good GOP republicans from the secular wing of the party who do not support government intrusion on the people. Unfortunately, many of these moderates got voted out of office. Perhaps our greatest supporter in the GOP was Mark Foley, a staunch libertarian. GG him.

Listening to Dan Negenau say vote for Democrats because of online poker makes as much sense as a person pointing a loaded gun to their head, then pulling the trigger to see what happens. Are you an intelligent person who can think for themselves or are you a sheep who follows?

What's wrong with Rudy?
This thread was to pick out the pols from both sides that are anti-poker, but the GOP is an easy target because the controled all the elected branches of the federal government.Rudy would be the worst thing that ever happed to poker, he shut down the NYC clubs. If he goes national like he wants expect more of the same.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underground_pokerUnderground poker rooms were most famously depicted in the 1998 movie Rounders, but existed long before and after the film. Some of the longest operating underground clubs have been in New York City. Two of these, the Diamond Club and the Mayfair Bridge Club, were famous proving grounds for such now well-known poker players as Howard Lederer, Erik Seidel and Dan Harrington. The New York Police Department, however, closed these clubs in the summer of 2000 during the Rudolph Giuliani administration’s law and order campaign.Underground poker nevertheless flourished in New York. Up through the poker boom in 2003, several major clubs established themselves in Manhattan. The more well-known included Playstation near Union Square and Players’ Club on the Upper West Side. Significant clubs also sprouted elsewhere in the city. Despite a few sporadic raids, there was no concerted crackdown. On May 26, 2005 New York police shuttered numerous rooms, including Playstation and Players’ Club. The surviving clubs voluntarily shut down for weeks but reopened when the heat died down. Subsequent raids, however, have closed the remaining major rooms.

I'm from Illinois, and I can still gamble online. If we are done, I'd have to guess that !*$%^# Mark Kirk had something to do with it.
