The Official Isap Squad

Key to stud: card counting.keep track of the cards out. You'll know what cards that are left to make whatever you need, and then know what your opponent needs, and if it's there.Makes sniffing out bluffs easier too.
I've also learned the value of solid starting hands. With people chasing every hand down to 7th, it's usually good to start in a dominating position, and pound the ever loving crap out of them on every street along the way.

There really is no converter for Stud hands (there WAS, but JaysonWeber is a dbag).I've been planning on learning Visual C++ and creating a downloadable hand converter that works for all sites and all games. But it may be a while before I undertake such a huge project.

Do I still qualify? I've been on a great run since the middle of November. Officially broke for around 2 weeks, then received $4.40 from sweetdaddyfreak for his birthday freeroll on stars ($4.40 180) and I took 3rd for $85. In the month since then, I've built this up to about $350 all in the 180's. My last 5 finished: 6 ($36), 1($216), 58, 90, 4($58). I'm not prepared to resign, but if asked to do so I suppose I would have too...

gl sir.Cross posted from TRR Chapter, and I believe it to be true:see, my goal with the ISAP Squad is to take a bunch of admittedly shitty (or patially shitty) players, and turn the group name into an oxymoron. So basically, we're going to be a huge crew that ends up taking over the poker world...minus Dutch Boyd going bipolar. If you guys have been scared to admit YSAP, do so! Admission is the first step to recovery.

so what you're saying is that i'm still in? yay! i think?
Yea, you're our ambassador of Kwan. Like Hang said, the idea is to be the new crew on the block.C-Dub is rockin the $1 challenge, you're killin the 180's, Hang... (I don't know what the hell he's doing :club: ) and me, I have my first $1.50 in real money online in over 5 years. We're on our way. (anyone I left out, feel free to jump in) Now if FCP would just let me sit at .02/.04 table we'd be off. I e-mailed them, let's see what they say.

I've played six of the Razz 2K Guaranteess and cashed in three of them. If it wasn't for a miracle river card in a game of $1/$2 Razz on FTP I'd be up for today also (hence the gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah). I lost a huge pot with that hand when I had the best of it until 7th street.

It's nice to actually have people pay attention to stuff like this. Hope I don't disappoint.
Hell yea, it's awesome. I really hope I can do half as well as you are. (swing, swing) I need to read your blog on it. (you are blogging it, right?) I've just been depending on forum posts for updates.

Vent. Hand:1/2 NLHE at the casino. Wang limps UTG in a 9 handed game with QhTh. MP raises to 15. 2 players call. I call. 4 to the flop, with 60ish in the pot.Flop:7s8h9hWang checks, preflop raiser bets 50. One fold. Button makes it 200. Wang immediately shovels for 750.Preflop raiser thinks for a few minutes, says "this is probably a terrible call" and calls. Button thinks for 3 minutes, and folds 88 faceup.Turn 3h. River 3c.Preflop raiser tables 99, and rakes in a 1700 dollar pot.Wang vomits, and rebuys.

Please list:Where you playWhat limits you playWhat your highest amount of consecutive losing sessions isAnd explain to me why you suck at poker. (hand histories are not required, but helps)This will be a discussion of how badly we suck at poker, and how badly we need to improve.
ISAP in December. I dropped $250 in a 2/4 game on FT. I have AK, and have KKK22 at the turn. We get all the money in, I'm planning on the chop unless villian has quad ducks. Jack drops. Now, villian apparently has KKKJJ at the river. FT software mistakenly interprets this as a better hand than KKK22. Whoosh! Why would anyone play on the internet? Live games: Last Saturday night: $350 WHOOSH in four hours of horrible play -- I had just come off a big win, and decided to blow off some steam. Funny thing is, I was ahead by $50 and thought, "I should call it a night. Nah, I'll catch one more hand and double up." DONK! Tonight: $450 in damages from the combination of my local casino's $115 tourney and a cash game afterward -- the nice touch was catching AA in my first hand of the cash game $1/2/100 DONKFEST and getting it wrecked by a set of 9s on the flop. So I'm sitting there, $225 into the night, and just wanting to get back to even. It only took another $225 to to make me give up on the dream of getting even. For some reason, I have this memorized/seared in my brain: HERO dealt: suited AQ. Flop 7,8,9, turn: 6. "all in." FOLD. Only happened a thousand times. Of course, when I played 9,10, or 8,9 FLOP comes AAQ or AQQ. Good thing I did NOT suck in November playing $2/5 live games. I still have about $4K+ to piss down my leg, should I continue to deny that ISAP. Anyone else down a grand this week?

Anyone else down a grand this week?
I lost 5500 playing in a live 1/2 NLHE game in the last 2 weeks.Fun hands:With 1.6K back (up 100 bucks) I get all the checks in with a set of ducks on a 2 5 9 flop. My opponent has 55.With 900 back, I get all in with 9h8h on a 7h6h2x flop. My opponent overpushes with A6, and I call 600 into a 600 dollar pot. Turn Ah, river Ac. Poopie.I move in against Uber-loose opponent with KK preflop. He calls with AA. I lose 650ish.I raise preflop with TdJd. I get called by both of the blinds. Flop 789r. I bet, get raised by SB, BB calls, I make it 200 straight, he moves in, BB folds, I call for 900 more. He shows 77. Turn 8, river 7 and I'm toast.Etc., etc.Death die for die-die.Wang

wow, that's pretty sickening. This is why I refuse to play NL ring.

I suck at NL, so I have no choice but to get super-aggressive with big draws and shit. But I'm still supremely confident I'll hammer this game over the next month. I got my money in pretty good most of the time. I don't think I really made any big mistakes. But if I win a few deep-stack races in a row, I'll be alright.Who am I kidding? I want to die...
