Zeatrix 0
Just wondering if anyone knows where the 'Professor' is these days?He seems to have fallen off the poker radar for the last year or two. Does he even play anymore? On a more serious note:He said during an interview (think it was The Circuit) he said that he has played a lot less poker and focused on the business side of things the last couple of years. He did however say that he still has a lot of years left in his poker career and that he would most probably return to life as a professional poker player in time.

You know, the strangest thing happened to me the other day. As some of you know, I'm a jogging fan. Everyday at 5 am, I jog three miles to the store to get cigarettes. Anywho, I use LA Gear running shoes... I know it's not "Hip", but results are what matter to me. Plus, they light up when I hit the pavement... some times when I'm really pumping, it looks like a whole bunch of Matusow ecstasy teens raving down main street with "Glow Sticks". I hate to be so flashy and awesome looking when I jog, but it boils down to two important letters... "S" and "I". Safety and Illumination. Months ago I devised the BLISS system to jumpstart my jogging progress. Boiled Egg, Lonny Huff, Illumination, Safety, Sexiness. Anywho, I guess I was in the zone on my jog, because I stepped on/killed a kitten. Now, I know you all might snicker at the idea of ole' Lonny Huff inadvertently crushing a kitten on a morning jog, and tainting his LA Gear with intestines and whatnot... but I was CRUSHED. So was he, and I had no idea what to do about it. So I did what I felt was right at the time, and threw him into the lake, except for his paw which I kept for good luck (Hey, I'm a poker player guys, I need all the luck I can get. I'm also the assistant manager of Buffalo Mcdonalds, but that's skill) . Watching the red ripples die in the water, something clicked in my head. I said a quick prayer, and ran back to the scene of the accident, and with the bloody leg of a kitten, and scrawled a note for the mother cat... and even though it's obviously awesome luck, I left the kittens foot for proof/memorial type purposes, for the cat. Even though a dog ate them seconds after I laid it on the sidewalk, it's the circle of life. Not to mention I totally stepped on/crushed that dog's puppy minutes later, on accident again. It's the least I could do. Well, I am sure that the gods will look after me. I completed my jog to the store, bought the cigarettes, and threw them away in the garbage can outside. What... did you really think Lonny Huff smoked? Guys, you can't be fit like me if you do that crap. I buy cigarettes everyday to keep them out of the hands of kids. PS I also chopped a tournament 10 ways, and Howard Lederer is so fantastic EDIT: I wasn't clear about how I wrote the note on the sidewalk. I used the kitten's leg/blood as pen/ink. Resourcefulness... a staple of the Huff family.... The dog also licked up the note written in blood, but I'm sure the mother cat noticed the missing kitten. Rail CALL! nutzbuster 7
He still plays, barely. Why would you in his position? It can be such a grind. I don't think he ever was a cash game guy. He's made millions, got famous at the right time, and with all the other crap he's into now he doesn't have to play much anymore.Must be nice.
psujohn 0
I think the honest answer is that Howard found he couldn't beat the highest cash games and didn't want to play lower. If you don't enjoy the grind and can't beat the big game it's pretty smart to step back and focus on the business side if that's what you do enjoy and can make money at it. He does own 50% of it.Howard does not "own" 50% of Full Tilt. If he did "own" 50% he would have already been arrested and imprissoned in the same manner that Sportingbet CEO Peter Dicks and Betonsports CEO David Carruthers were arrested the minute they touched down on US soil, and the reason Calvin Ayre will not step foot inside the US. After all, Full Tilt is an Offshore gambling site.....I think Howard is more of a highly paid "consultant" or "adviser" along with Ivey etc. Am i wrong?
