I only have a Core Duo in here, but with the 1440x900 resolution, I can still do 3 tables without re-sizing and any real difficulty. Got it dual booting Windows XP, which is the sickest capability of this computer.Ship it.

GetSprung 0
Can anyone say anything about projection monitors? Like the ones that you'd normally use to project movies onto your wall. My roommate is looking into getting one to play poker on his wall. Probably so when someone bad beats him he can literally punch a hole through that person without damaging the computer. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?they aren't really for everyday use...they need recalibration and burn out relatively quickly...also anything affordable isn't very high res...most also aren't really good unless you can darken the room a bit

James D 0
Laptop - Dell Inspiron 9400 with 17in, 1920x1200 res screen. I don't need extreme performance, I just need to 4-table comfortably on all poker sites. What is your 'method' to playing 4 tables at once? For some reason, the most I feel comfortable playing is 2 tables, in order to keep track of reads, betting patterns etc etc.Do you just play more of a 'robotic' (don't mean that as a slight on your play, just the best way I could describe it) system? Like, only play certain hands for a certain amount from different positions.Or did you build up to playing more tables slowly, so you have got used to it and you can cope with it easily? Not only aimed for you simo, just quoted you... really anybody who plays 4 or more tables at once. - I know some people play 12 tables at once. That just seems mind blowing.
simo_8ball 1
4 tables is pretty manageable, especially at tables of >6 players and on sites with decent time banks. I keep meaning to get PokerTracker and PAHUD to take care of that annoying thing known as 'reading' a player for me.Noone can 4-table at 4xsingle table winrate. You inevitably lose some focus/reads and you start to play somewhat robotically the more tables you are playing. I find that I can just about manage 6 x 6max tables while recognising individual players and table characteristics, but I wouldn't want to try and keep that up for more than an hour at a time.I used to struggle even just 2-tabling, but it just becomes easier with practice. There's no quick fix.
MasterLJ 0
That is a sweet set up!!Can u get 4 tables on each monitor on Full Tilt??Non re-sizable tables suck!!That's the Samsung 204B (of which I have 1), it is the only monitor I know of that has a native resolution of 1600x1200 which is just enough to play at FTP with no overlap. It's segzy.gzzz... are you that blind??? or do you multi table 17 tables at once?Monitor size has nothing to do with how many tables you can play on, it's all about resolution. Here's mine btw: Holy crap i need to dust.http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=468783

That just seems mind blowing.I 15 table (well i start up 15 at a time, i play them in sets, so as it gets shorthanded, i probably have less tables open) 6.50 turbo stt's on pokerstars on a 1024 x 768 res 17" lappy and one of these:i cascade the tables and play solid abc poker. i can't imagine playing cash games this way though. I 6 table now relatively easy and I still make plays all the time on people based on specific reads like timing, etc...
