I was at a table with disconnect protect and got disconnected on a hand i would've folded... when i came back i had gone runner runner and sucked out on the hand... so i sent the guy who i sucked out on 1/2 of what i won... i still made a few bucks, and he didn't get screwed over and we all felt better. god loves me

What a retard.2 buy ins and he's bust?Says a lot about his chances of making it at bigger games to begin with.Or he could have meant only two buy ins online at that time. But if that's the case, it's not worth freaking out. I also wouldnt play NL on a sketchy connection without at least a few disconnect protects. It's just asking for trouble. Even if he was slightly better, you have to recognize that disconnecting even infrequently is pretty much impossible to overcome when your edge against the player (in this situation) is so marginal.

I was at the casino on Sunday, and an older lady in front of me dropped a slot ticket for over $200. No one saw but me, and I picked it up and gave it to her. Do you believe me?

Anybody who said they would GIVE some of the $$ back is either a liar, a millionaire, or an idiot. It's just a stroke of good luck for Mike, no reason to give anything back. Certainly a temporary stake would be friendly if Mark's acct was temporarily cleaned out though.

you only gave it back because it was an older lady, had it been a young man you probably would have kept it.you changed/made up this story to play on the mind's emotional reasoning ...correct ?

It really looks like Mike was feeling sincerly bad for Vos and was willing to somehow give the guy a little bit of a break. And I remember it happening to him too, as mentioned earlier. Even though mike talks a lot of smack I think he really is a good guy deep down. The thing is when I opened this thread I really was 100% sure that mike got disconnected and shafted for a huge pot, it seems like bad stuff always happens to him......

Yes. This is a human thing to do. This is very different from the poker disconnect.

Surprised no one seems to mention that mike was less than a 2 to 1 dog and would have most likely been down that money that he won. Dosen't mean Vos deserves anything back, these things happen, but it would be a nice thing to do to just stake him in some tournies.

I had ACES on two tables at the same time deep in Multis.. I was on the flop of both of them.. and my power went out.. turns out my cat hit the power strip and wiped out my computer power).. it was on FTP so I was **** outta luck.

By your logic Mike should also stake him if the hand had played normally and he had hit his flush to win. So, uh, no.
