Just stop and think of it.He is now talking about how the $5 would have accrued interest as well..so he is out even more money now.Excuse me while I jump off my roof.

i hav a similar story. i have 2 chequing accounts with my bank, one for daily use and one for whe i write checks. if i ever write a check (mainly rent, but paypal EFTs etc as well) i simply transfer cash from my main chequing account to the 2nd one, its instnat and free and its quite convenient for me. on to my story.around the30th of a month last year, i put 360$ into my 2nd account for my rent check. now, keep in mind that both of my accounts are free of any charges. i go to look on the 4th or 5th of the month in internet banking to just make sure the check cleared, and i saw that the balance was now 324.98$ not 0$. this means that the check bounced somehow. i look in the details, and see i was charged 2 cents of interest in my interest free account. I immediately call up the bank, as this cost me 35$ in a NSF fee from them, and 30$ from my landlord. I was told as this was not my primary checking account and it had had a balance of zero 99% of the time, they were starting to charge a small fee (some minute percentage of your main account balance, or some bs exc use like that). i go on to tell them its very inconventient for them to not tell me about instigating these charges, then charge it the day my check is to clear so i incur a 35$ fee. i threateneed to leave the bank if i didnt get it back, and it took 3 weeks to get it back because of a bs 'investigation'.. not to mention the embarassment of c0onforting your landlord about an NSF check and having to walk 1km to the bank and 1km back tog et him cash to pay off your rent.worstt part is im still wtih the bank, but since i whined i never had any problems. im kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place with them because they literally save me 25$ a month in fees/rant

not a big fan of the title, but it is funny that he gives his time so little value. in the EXTRA time he spent on the phone and exchanging emails, he would've made far more than $5 in poker.and of course as alf said, the extra 5 days are going to add an extra $20 or whatever in interest...that he didn't get.

i'm pretty sure u can set up different amounts depending on your use and the quantity etc....i dont think they would have a problem accomodating this since they love to charge ridiculous amounts of interest

I worked for customer service at MCI when I was a student. We usually could give credits up to $100 without the permission from our supervisor. I don't understand why Neteller is so picky about that $5? How many men-hours will they have to lose for that 5 bucks investigation? But yeah, wasting time and ranting for that $5 bad beat is even more -EV.

I just value my time more than he does. I prefer spend it mocking him wasting time than doing something productive.
This thread is more productive?

i worked as a stockbroker in a high net worth investment department ($5 million minimum investment). had a guy who had $20 million with us call up one day and yell at me for five minutes at the top of his lungs before i could even figure out what he was talking about. a new assistant had accidentally charged him a $20 fee to wire him $1 million. all he had to do was call and ask and the fee would be gladly removed (the asst. had the power to waive the fee and we did it every time). instead, he pulled his $20 million from us over the $20. what a miserable piece of caca.

it is a bank not neteller. and banks take lots and lots of forms and man hours to do anything.

I always enjoy reading his posts. And he does a very good job replying. I understand where his coming from when Druff states "Its the Principal not the $5"
i like that he replies without going into stupid rants. however, he's absurdly wrong even about the principle in this case. he seems to think every front-line employee at a company should be empowered to do whatever is necessary to make a customer happy, including transferring him money.i'd guess that might cause some problems.
