I'm heading out to Vegas in March for the 1st round of the March Madness.I made my first inquiry about staying at a hotel and playing there and what type of deal they offer for hotel rooms. I was out their in June and played at Caesar and did pretty well their playing 1-2 and 2-5 nl game. So I called there yesterday.Their deal is any room up to 400 dollars a night at 119 dollars a night(monday-thursday) and 199 a night (friday-sunday) IF you play an average of 8 hours a day. Not a terrible deal but a lot of hours especially if you take a couple beats but very few if you a getting hit by the deck. Definately wouldn't want to pay 400 a night if I can't make 8 hours a day. Does anyone know of any other poker comps at any main hotels, I'm going to call Manalay, Venetian, Mirage and TI. Any other suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :club:

Are their certain stakes you have to play at to get comped at Bellagio. I heard something about 15-30 or higher?
I didn't have anything like that. I was at the 4-8 limit table for a while and one of the guys was getting his card signed by one of the brushes. I don't think it matters but you may want to ask the person in the poker room office that helps you get your room booked. Call the poker room and they'll get you all squared away. I've played there several times and now I don't even have to do the 6 hour thing anymore. They take my word for it as I usually play alot more than 6 hours a day when I go.

I think if you split a room with a buddy and if both of you play then all you have to do is play 6 hrs combined between the two of you(which makes things much more flexible). I heard this at Bellagio so I don't know if it holds true for any other hotels. GL.

Do you have to be on the strip? Do you care if the room is new and fancy?
I stayed at the plaza downtown for 25$ a night comped out of the pokerrooom and just went back and forth from the strip. Its not the bellagio but its not a bad hotel with daily 100 buy in tournies(if u are bored). It was less hectic then the strip and alot cheaper... the rooms are nice and you can spit at binions as well. Over all i really enjoyed staying there, the pokerroom staff was great and i won 2 of the daily tournies. If you are going for a long period of time its not a bad option, we went for 10 days.

Usually, I don't really care where I stay but I now have a job and some extra cash and I've always wanted to stay at one of the nicer hotels on the strip. In my four trips out there, I've stayed twice at the Trop, once at IP and once at the Luxor. SO I would ideally like to stay at a place like the Bellagio or Venetian or Caesar or MB or Mirage. Just kind of want to spoil myself and hopefully win some cash. That would be awesome if I could split time with me and a buddy or two to get the room rate. That will be something I ask hopefully someone on here can save me a call or two. Thanks :club:

I read a lot of posts about hotel prices. Easy solution for you, play Craps 2 hours a day(at least 2 days during your trip) WITH a players card at Any Harrahs or Station Casino property. You will never pay for a room again. I go to Vegas 2 or 3 times a year and haven't paid for food or a hotel in 4 years. Buy in for 500 to 1000 bucks at a $10min table, have at least $60 in play and you're set. You WILL receive 3 to 4 days a month comped. Yes, it's that easy. You won't receive room offers if you just set in the Poker room. Just trying to help you guys out. During the WSOP this year I had Paris, Harrahs and Rio comped. This wont help you this trip but it will for future ones.

Glad I posted that and had all the answers when I got back.Thank you. I'm definately going to look into Mirage, especially if I can share the time with someone else. I wonder how expensive of a room I can get and still get that deal. At Caesar's like I said I can get a room up to 400. Which would be unbelievable I'm sure.

One suggestion with Caesars: Its pretty easy to log as many hours a day there as you need. The guy up front swipes your card, and you can just leave after a while and stay clocked in, and come back and clock out whenever. Their system is pretty easy to 'cheat' for lack of a better word. They don't really care, because their food comps are so crappy. As is the actual food. I realized this because the first time I forgot to clock out, when I came back that night I told the guy and he was like, "Thats ok, I'll just leave you clocked in for the whole day." It gave him a $5 chip and was on my way....Mark

Talk to the poker room manager, but the Mirage allows me to include my wifes play as well into my hours required. 6 hours a day, breaks to 3 hours each and we're done if we want to go somewhere else. Usually have it closed out for the day by 11am - if we stay it just means we're eating lunch and dinner for free that day. I'm not going ot knock Ceasars as I've not stayed there.

Check the Wynn...when I played there last summer, when DN was the Poker Ambassador, they had a $109 weekday rate and only 6 hours of play required...very nice.
