delphi12 0
Playing 5/10 NL at Hollywood Park yesterday. I have about $6000 in front of me. BB has $600. UTG has $150 (just lost $1000 to me and rebought). UTG+1 has $10k.UTG raises to $50 (looked like he only looked at 1 card). UTG+1 calls. I raise to $200. BB thinks for a minute and raises all in ($600). UTG calls. UTG+1 says, "well, im definitely behind but would have called the $200." He throws his hand face up - 44.BOARD:8 4 4 T 2No way I dont lose every dollar with top full house to quads. BB shows his hand A J.I cashed out immediately after knowing that I just got very lucky.EDIT: Yes, I had TT - thanks NOFX_PUNK for pointing that out.

BeaverStyle 1
How was that guy sitting with 10k, when he just folded the nuts to someone who obviously would have gone all in w/ his hand???Hmmm.
delphi12 0
How was that guy sitting with 10k, when he just folded the nuts to someone who obviously would have gone all in w/ his hand???Hmmm.Because it was pre-flop.. Sorry, I made the post terribly obviously. Just got into work and am still kinda shocked I didnt lose everything last night. All the action was done pre-flop.Also, at this game you can buy in for any amount - no cap.
NoSup4U 0
Just clarifying, did the 44 hand fold, and then you folded correct? What did UTG have? Was this a full ring game?Mark
NOFX_PUNK 0
EDIT: Yes, I had TT - thanks NOFX_PUNK for pointing that out.I knew even before you did, you have an e-tell
delphi12 0
Alright, i am going to redo this hand because I obviously posted it too quickly:FULL RING GAMEI am in the cutoffUTG bets $50 (I actually never find out what he has)UTG+1 calls (has 44)folds to me.I raise to $200 (with TT)BB goes all in for $600 - with AJUTG calls (but only has $150)UTG+1 folds his hand face up showing 44 but saying that he would have called my raiseThen we see the board. I win with my full house tens over 4's but would have lost had the BB not raised and made the UTG+1 guy fold.Hope that was better.
No_Neck 0
do a lot of people fold face up when there is still a hand going on? That would annoy the crap out of me.

WallstreetMSU 0
the action was over b/c the guy was all in...I think the guy with 44 was the last to act so it didnt change the action.

Vick12 0
the action was over b/c the guy was all in...I think the guy with 44 was the last to act so it didnt change the action.Actually the action is NOT over.If the guy is UTG +1, OP still has position on him. So when OP pops it to $200 and then BB makes it $600, UTG+1 STILL has to worry about what the OP will do BEHIND him.Now...OP is LIKELY calling the additional $400, but the guy UTG+1 doesn't KNOW what the OP will do behind.Basically he's an asshat for showing his hand w/ a player left to act behind.FWIW.Oh...and Mark (NoSupForU) sux!!! socalpoker_j 1
Is this the 500 min game that they run there? Man that place is ghetto right in the heart of Inglewood.

Sorry, you are correct. He shouldnt have turned his hand over...however the 44 shouldnt have changed the OP decision no matter what he had.Unless he has a 4 in his hand...in which case he wouldnt be reraising to 200.but you are correct.....and Mark does suck...come on "All in with KJ...what a bad play."lol...just kidding. delphi12 0
Is this the 500 min game that they run there? Man that place is ghetto right in the heart of Inglewood.yes.. but its close to my work.. I like to play the 500 game at the Bike, but thats much further away. My usual place is Hustler but the games there have just gotten too small for my liking. Not much action. And they have a cap of 300 buyin. You end up playing for 7 hours and win $300. Nice, but not worth my time.
Killrus 0
Commerce ftw :)I play omaha there though.Havent been to the Bike.
_Great_Dane_ 0
do a lot of people fold face up when there is still a hand going on? That would annoy the crap out of me.I made the same observation. The way that it was explained, both times, that's what happened. And if that's the case, and there were two people in the hand (plus the all in) to see the flop, the op would have known that he flopped the nuts. mtdesmoines 3
Also, at this game you can buy in for any amount - no cap.I guess between the two of you, you both saw the good and bad side of the no-cap buy-in.
