GeneralGeeWhiz 0
People who play here are pretty good. The guy that seems like one of the best is the dude with Home as his avatar drinking a beer. He seems to also give the best advice. My advice would be to keep playing and practcing. I play tight early and agressive late and that seems to work sometimes.

EurekaKid 0
Accumulate chips through maniac play, then have enough to survive the coin flips. Seems to be the way to go these days, at least for fast structures.

Lonny_Huff 0
Lonny Huff here. You know, I chop alot of home games... I guess you could say I'm one of the best. Anywho, I believe in Karma. Now, believe me: I'm no saint. I'm a ruthless businessman. McDonald's is big business, and you have to be a bloodthirsty pitbull to assistant-manage the second biggest unit in Buffalo. Sorry, didn't mean to make this a brag post. So, Lonny... how do you raise your good karma? Funny you should ask. I 69 with bums. Everday after dinner, I head downtown to volunteer at the bum shelter from 6 to 9... not only am I lending a helping hand, but I'm doing a good deed. As soon as I started driving out to the poor side of town and 69'ing with bums, my Karma level soared to the roof. Not only was I running good in the local home tourneys, but I saw a huge difference in my homemade sculptures, friendship bracelets... as well as a marked improvement in my mime routine. Call me bonkers, but I think I see a direct correlation between winning at poker and 69'ing with bums. -Lonny Huff
TheCinciKid 0
I won a tournament once. I've gotten deep many times since and had similar things happen, so I can sympathize with your plight. There really is a ton of luck involved, I guess that's the most important thing to keep in mind.
7s7c 0
I once won a tourney after I got disconnected from FTP after being 5th in chips out of about 13 left. When I got my connection back I was at the FT but 9th in chips and proceeded to pick up AA back to back 1st 2 hands, slapped some folks trying to unwittingly take advantage of my previous disconnect and went on to win the thing. Luck pwns.
