He couldnt suit up on Saturday??? What a bum!I was in Pittsburgh for the Canes game. Would have been nice to see his first ever NHL game.ps- never seen so many jerseys of a guy who hasnt even played 1 game. (reg season). dont get me wrong, i think he is a star in the making, but wow. he sure is popular in Pitts.

Well if for doing what he did to get there, he deserves to be a star. Not only that, but Pittsburgh has some of the best fans in the NHL. It's been such a rollercoaster ride, and I've barely even felt it, since I don't live in the 'Burgh, but from my talks with the local fans, the whole ownership/moving/arena thing is very stressful on the true fans, Evgeni finally gives them something (as well as Sid, obviously) to be excited about, and the combination of the two is just unreal for this city and team. It's too bad you saw a pretty crappy game though, the two games I went to last year, where they beat the Devils and the Flyers on back to back nights were absolutely electric, and they were in March, with zero chance of posting a winning season.

Pittsburgh has some of the luckiest hockey fans in the world. Lemieux and Jagr, now Crosby and Malkin. Yes, they've blown for a while now but they have 2 Cups in the not so distant past and some of the most entertaining players in the league for the last 20 years. They were fun to watch last year and it's only going to get better. Maybe they can move to the Target Center in Minneapolis if Pittsburgh screws up the arena deal. We should be able to support another team...after all, we are the State of Hockey.Yes, I'm kidding about that.

I still think the Penguins need to move to CANADA ...Hamilton, Winnipeg would be viable options...Heck forget hamilton why not Toronto...I never understood that New york is allowed to have 3 teams in close vicinity when a market like Toronto cant...discuss and flame away

The Leafs don't want the competition. The market could certainly support another team but how much compensation would the Maple Leafs demand? I'm American but think that moving a couple teams to Canada would work with the current economic agreements in place and would be good for the game.

Thought that arena they built in winnipeg is too small?
I think it's around 15,000. But in the salary cap NHL, I'm sure it could still work. GO JETS GO!(actually I'm to young to be a real jets fan, but it's the thought that counts)
