The weasel is a self-righteous douche bag who has decided to push upon us his moral agenda by claiming that online poker is "bad." Has he ever played poker? Probably not. Does he even understand that it's different from slot machines? Probably not. Does he even realize that many Americans put food on the table by playing online poker? ok, this was on TV.Gus Hansen against the Magician on the WPT. The magician pushes all in with 77 (I think it was 77, either 77 or 66, been awhile since I saw it). Anyway, the memorable part, Hansen proceeds to say " I can't fold, I have 9 high". Everyone looks at him funny, Vince and Mike comment, thinking he meant to say he can't "call" with 9 high. Then he say's it again, "I can't fold, I have 9 hight". He calls with 2 overs (9 high), and hits, busting the Magician. Funniest thing I've heard from a Pro.
Gus said I can't fold I have 10 high and yes the Magician did have 77.Gus called with 10 8 off suit and hit his 8 to knock out the magician.

correct.i always wanted to go back and look at the numbers... what kind of odds was he getting?

I can't remember exactly but I think he and Gus were the two highest stacks at the table.Which made it even more bizarre as usually the two highest chips stacks don't tangle with each other too much. At least not with mediocre hands like 10 8 off.I think he was getting less than 2 to 1

Yes, I'm pretty sure they were indeed the two biggest stacks. Winner-take-all format, Gus was willing to gamble more I suppose. And if it makes any difference at all, I'm about 99% sure that his T-8 was suited in diamonds.

it was for a 25,000 seat, if he could really use the money, i guess he burned through his "1.4" pretty quick, rocks and rings can get expensive.

I like something I heard Doyle Brunson say on TV when he was talking about the chances a pro has in a big tournament. He used a good example. He said, "Winning a big tournament now is like winning the lottery. The pros have a lot more tickets than the amateurs, but we still have to be lucky to win the lottery." It was something like that anyways. I thought it was a perfect explanation for the big tournaments now.

speaking of HSP qutoes does anyone remember the hand where DN flopped a str8 and E-Dog turn quads? Right after the flop Doyle said something I couldnt understand but Eli Elezra found it hilarious

It was the WPT Bad Boys stupid thingy. It was winner take all, and he had a shot to have 50% or more of the chips in play so he went for it. Still a bad call, but there were reasons behind it...-Free roll (25K seat)-Winner take all-He probably wanted to either be huge chip leader and have a shot to win it or bust out early and play cash games
