Rowdy 0
To the people on here that are actually listening, which I see are quite a few, the bill doesn't technically make online gambling illegal, the problems is not that you are going to be in trouble playing no money on line and playing at UB.net, it is where you have money involved and the banks, either offshore or on, have not given the government their due. Why do you think that the lobbyist, foreign and domestic, have been lobbying against not having this put in the same bill, as the bill is SOUND, that is why it is going to pass. So the previous poster above when he said it was not illegal to gamble, technically, he is correct, the bill doesn't say that, it is what the banks are going to do when they get in trouble paying out and taking deposits, which after this passes, full signing by President GWB should be completed by October 11, 2006.Okay, that is my last post. I have to head out. As far as the haters on this site who hate themselves, IQLESS, I mean IQ Crash, you only wish you could have a piece of me. I am not a politician, but I am very politically involved in lobbying on medical issues, stem cell research, and dumb clucks like you who assume things, well, just goes to show you don't have any motivation to get off your rear to do anything. I feel sorry for people that still live in their momma's basement, playing microlimits, dreaming of being at the WSOP with the big boys (however, you'll never see me there after they take your microbankroll). I have enjoyed your convo, but from here on out, talk to the hand, not to my size 4 AZZZZ You moron!!!!!

HangukMiguk 8
the bill has 270 days.twohundredseventydays.we have plenty of time to worry. i bet you still have a stockpile of bottled water, batteries, and shotgun shells from Y2K.
IQCrash 1
Well, I think you're all nuts. I have a friend in the FBI and he tells me that you only have to worry about this bill if you're black - because they're going to be using this legislation to stop black people from moving up in society through poker incomes. Offsetting the balance in the country. You can not believe me if you want, but I'm well connected in politics. I've voted TWICE. Not to mention I decorate cakes on the weekends, so as you can see, I get all the inside information because we all know senators EAT CAKES.Anyway, if you're black, cash out now. Canada 0
Odds are I wouldn't fuck her for practice. Is it childish that I sprayed coffee out my nose at this?OP, I am not sure what your agenda is but you are so blatantly full of it.The FBI will hardly waste resources on investigating practices that are not yet against the law, they run on a pretty tight budget as it is. That and the fact that it would open a can of legal worms. So your claim that "as of October 1, 2006 the FBI is tracking all off shore banking/internet gaming sites, including all players and all money transactions made through legal or illegal means " is a lie.The bill is not law until GW signs it and even then the regulations specifying the obligations of financial institutions will be 'published' somewhere within 270 days after that. (Note that it says 'within'. It could happen a lot earlier however FIs will need time to implement systems to comply)The FBI will not be interested in any activity until these regulations are in place as obvioulsy they would be investigating activites that are still legal.Secondly the act is directed at institutions, so your claim that they will be tracking 'all players' is ludicrous.Take it elsewhere
JMoney2681 0
Good Luck to you all. I feel sorry for any of you who have relied on this as your income, but its over now,Don't be, less hands no rakeback, but LIVE donkeys. To the casinos I shall go.
Shizzmoney 0
if you mean the OP im inclined to agree, this scenario seems pertty far fetched.I agree. DO you know how many people we are talking about here? It's gotta be in the 1-2 million people range of those who play online poker for money on some level or the other. Not to say that the government could do it, I'm just not convinced that they will be ABLE to do it. I really don't have faith in how things run right now, with all the beaurocracy and such
dna4ever 2
Its pretty simple guys. Very similiar to downloading music illegally.Lots of people do, few get caught, but they do get caught. If you want to roll the dice (Gambooool) knowing the consequences then thats each persons individual choice. No they will not 'catch' everybody, but they will catch some and do you want to be in that 'some' group? 24fanatics 0
IQ CRASH - You crack me up and boy does your post sound true to your form:Your last two posts were :"Your ex sounds like a real whore. So... what's her number?..."Two chicks at once, wow"You obviously don't have problems with women's opinions, because you never get close enough to hear them, as they all DETEST you, that is why the only way you get off is by watching your AVATAR. So once you get your IQ back, let us know how much you lost in your bankroll, but frankly, my post was to protect those that have something to loose, I don't think there is a site tha worries about bankrolls under 40 cent microlimits......It's lose...God, why do people always screw that up? Yoda 1
Wanna laugh? I have a friend in the FBI too. And I asked him what he thinks about internet gambling being banned. You know what he said? semaj550 0
I would say it's waaaaaaay too early to start worrying yet. However, when the shit hits the fan it's going to put a huge strain on payment processors and online gaming companies. It's not inconceivable that somewhere down the line there are going to be a lot of posts from people who were told that they aren't getting paid. Especially those that deal with smaller sites.I'm not sayig you're going to get rolled up for being a terrorist but keeping an eye on stuff down the road and getting your cash out early could save you some money. DanielSon 0
I have to say...This came at the absolute perfect time...My bankroll was about $2K and I took a shot at 3/6 NL the other day and dropped $350....Then quit poker and withdrew everything from my accounts...So now I don't give a ****...Although I am saddened that I will have a much tougher time if I want to get into the WSOP this year. I think I'll be forced to play a $1000 event the first week and hope I win to pay for other events...lol the dream lives on...
OrzyVibe 0
Hey morons...bury your head in the sand and flame away at the world in anger, but the bottom line is: online poker is coming to an end for U.S. players. Sooner than later. So get your money out or wish you had later. Your choice.
chowds4 0
o.k., this may be the dumbest question in history, but here it goes:-why can't i continue to play online, and when i wish to cash-out, request a paper/hard check from the poker site-and deposit the money with my own hands into my own bank...-it seems this bill is making the electronic movement of money, in and out of banks, from online gambling an illegal thing...(netteller,firepay,etc.)-is it illegal to deposit with hard checks?? Pot Odds RAC 23
Not that I want to start pandemonium... ...this is all being rolled up and put in bed with TERRORISM, and therefore, eventually, any of you who keep playing, are going to have your funds taken under the guise that you are supporting terrorism...Look up the word "Demagogue"
