JMoney2681 0
I have been trying out NL today, I recently was a limit player but Kes, Zach, Jordan, and a few others have talked me into the swithc. Sorry for so many posts, but I am trying to learn this game, thanks in advance.Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)MP2 ($24.40)CO ($25)Button ($16.30)SB ($21.68)BB ($5)Hero ($50.44)UTG+1 ($14.43)MP1 ($11)Preflop: Hero is UTG with T, A. CO posts a blind of $0.25. SB posts a blind of $0.10. Hero calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, 2 folds, CO (poster) checks, 1 fold, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.Flop: ($1.25) 8, 4, T(5 players)SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1.19, UTG+1 folds, CO folds, SB calls $1.19, BB folds.Turn: ($3.63) 7(2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $2.5, SB calls $2.50.River: ($8.63) K(2 players)SB checks.Do I bet this? I figured I could get paid off with a weaker 10 calling me, but when the river brings and over card I hate that feeling. And on top of that, he could maybe try to check/raise and use that as a bluff card to push me off a hand, if I decide to bet for value? So should I bet this, or check behind? Zach6668 513
I check the turn a lot here. A bet isn't bad due to the draws on the board. As played, check the river.

A bet isn't bad due to the draws on the board. As played, check the river. You know, I honestly thought about checking the turn on this one too, but with the draws its tough to give a free card. Why would you check the turn in some instances? In case of a slow played set? Maybe he will check raise bluff to win the pot? Or to slow play and make him bluff the river since I am in position?Possibly to keep the pot smallish with just 1 pair? I thought about all of these, as I am not a noob to NL, but I just had to bet because I didn't want to give the free card with straight draws out there.
bdc30 0
As played, check the river.QFT. I'd rather check for a showdown and the info that it might getyou about him slowplaying a flopped 2 pair or something, than getraised at this point in the hand and have no choice but to fold. burbs42 0
I think I probably check here because im weak passive fish and don't want to get raised off my hand . At these microstakes games that many of us play in, i would say that nearly half the players are weak passive and pay off about a ~1/2 pot sized river bet, w/o having the heart to raise a busted draw. Well see, that is what I figured. I was thinking about betting it too for these reasons.
