Rounders Terminology? What Do These Mean?

Recommended Posts

When Worm is playing dirty at the frat house game, Mike McD says Worm has become a master at:discard calls, overhand runoffs, pickup calls, the double duke. Can anyone explain what these mean?
I believe the double duke is when you specifically deal someone a second best hand. for example giving someone quads while dealing yourself a straight flush on the river

Urban Dictionary agrees.

An overhand run up is stacking the deck with use of an overhand shufflewhich is a form of shuffling performed by holding the cards above the table (as opposed to the "standard" method of shuffling in which the cards remain on the table) and sliding, dropping, or tossing cards from the top of the deck held in one hand into the other hand, until all the cards are transferred to the other hand.

Discard calls are the same as a cheating term called 'dealing seconds' - which when a dealer picks up discarded card and plays it himself or deals it to his partner if he signals for it.Works good in a game where lots of players drink booze because rarely anyone notices the card re-enter in the same hand. Works good in stud and draw games, not so good in flop games because the dealer doesn't have anymore chances to pass that card to his partner.
