mikeysong 0
I think you have to call down. Pretty standard imo. Too bad u don't have reads on him , even then, unless he's truly tight passive, I'm probably still calling him down.
akishore 0
I normally 3bet preflop. I wouldn't cold-call AQo, but folding isn't terrible -- well, it kind of is since you have the button. It's close between folding and cold-calling, but 3betting is best imo.Given your cold-call, postflop play is perfect. Check-up passed. =DAseem
Silly_11 0
Thanks guys,I was just looking at my stats at AQos was a hand that I think I wasn't maximizing my EV..... I'll take a look at a lot more hands this weekend and post a couple that i have questions on.
rwood 0
IF you are going to play that hand, it is REQUIRED IMO to 3-bet here.1. you take control of the hand by controlling the action on subsequent streets2. You gain a boatload of info on how strong the IR's hand is(ie if he caps you, you will almost always need to hit to win, or he may call, and check raise a board of low cards, which unless he's tricky means to me xx-JJ depending on board. If the board is draw heavy than you have another decision to make.)9 handed i dont mind the 3 bet on the button, espescially if you've been seated for a while and have even a slight read (ie TA, SLAG, TP) then you can make much easier decisions. CoranMoran 0
I agree with the others.I 3bet this preflop all day. Many good things come from it.--cm
Zach6668 513
I know SSHE says to fold preflop.Three bet aggressive players, fold vs rocks.Post flop is fine.
TheCinciKid 0
I know SSHE says to fold preflop.Three bet aggressive players, fold vs rocks.Post flop is fine.QFT. In a low limit game without reads you should probably err on the side of caution and tend to fold AQo to a raise.
CoranMoran 0
In shorthanded games (which this hand effectively is), opopnents open raise with much worse than AQ.We only fear AK, AA, KK, QQ.And MP's preflop raise will represent those hands only a very small % of the time.A preflop 3bet is for both value and isolation. And I think that it is very profitable. QFT. In a low limit game without reads you should probably err on the side of caution and tend to fold AQo to a raise.Low limits mean looser players. And this fact greatly increases the value of the 3bet.--cm
