Stylin_Fish 0
Lately I have been having trouble at work. I work hard and some other associates I know tell me I work hard. Now not all the time of course not but there is one manager there that acts really cool to me, but always talks mad crap behind my back especially about my work.Well today he gave a good friend of mine his yearly evaluation. He told my friend basically that I am not working to the best of my abilities and that they're going to try to hire another person and make me compete for hours in hopes of me leaving. Also that if I leave they think the performance of another employee will get better(haha). I have had many problems with this job and especially with this manager who has it drilled in his head that I do'nt work at all.Like I said, I think I work hard but i also like to have fun at my job, especially this kind of a job(office supply store). The main reason I don't work as hard is because I know it will make no difference(past experience) and I don't feel the need to drain myself working for a guy who doesn't respect me and feels the need to bash me behind my back. What do you all think? shinychicken 0
Well today he gave a good friend of mine his yearly evaluation. Also that if I leave they think the performance of another employee will get better(haha).Thats lawsuit territory. His problem with you is your business and no one elses. Easy way to get back at him is call your harrasement line (if you work at any big retail company, they have one. Call him out specifically and watch him get in some trouble. You should really sit down and talk to him though and give him a chance to clear the air. Then bust his balls... TheCorporation3 0
Already done that, too easy. That's all you need to do. Build up a fat roll, six figures, then start playing some satelites and bigger tourneys. Win a big one, and start being a "Pro" at full tilt. Life is that easy sir.

Then bust his balls...O, don't even get me started with calling any kind of people above because I already have them on a bunch of stuff. They follow california's laws when it comes to breaks and lunches and if you don't follow them strictly you get violations. If you work more than 2 hours you get a 15 min break, if you work 5 hours or more you get a break and a lunch. Well today i worked 5-10 and if we punch out before 10 we don't have to take our lunch(meaning we can go home early) but if we punch out after 10 we have to take a lunch. Well today we left at 1030 and I didn't take a lunch, I could easily call up to the people above and say, "they aren't allowing me to take my lunches" and get them ina bunch of trouble. Not to mention that they have changed my punch out times before.
EStormOk 0
Sounds to me like you need to look for another job. Who would want to work for that guy?Orif you want to stay there, I agree with the suggestion of a sit down with the manager.
shinychicken 0
Then just go to the store manager and report your problems with everything to him/her. Write a letter with your complaints, both of you sign it, and then keep a copy for yourself. Give the GM a reasonable amount of time to fix the problem and basically the gm that you will do whatever you can to make the situation turn to your favor.BTW, I own my own restaurant and know quite a bit about work related laws. Just keep a log of all your conversations/problems in case something really does upset you more.
Stylin_Fish 0
It's just getting really bad and this guy is so set on saying that I never work and no matter what I did it was never enough. So i just gave up and stopped caring.
