According to cardplayer's latest chip count in the Borgata main event:1 Mark Newhouse 6,565,0002 Chris Bell 3,171,0003 Chris McCormack 1,584,0004 Anthony Argila 890,0005 David Sklansky 853,0006 Blaise Ingoglia 714,0007 Athanasio Diakos 539,0008 Louis Russo 319,000That adds up to 14,635,000. There were supposedly 545 entries, each started with 25,000 tournament chips. 545 * 25,000 = 13,625,0001.01 million chips in overageFlame away!

The chip counts they put on the website are just rough estimates not exact

Um, You are wrong. Those chip counts are not exact. They look at the chips and make a guess from there. The official chip counts on the WSOP added up to over 2m. The official chip counts here do not.

They really try to guess as accurately as 3,171,000?

lol, they don't guess by looking at all the chips at the same time. they count by eye for each player and add them up. I think they try to be as accurate as possible, but all players don't stack their chips as organized as they could.
