This isn't omaha, where you can sometimes fold the nuts, this is holdem. Hope you hold up one time in your life.

Pot Odds RAC 23
...as they say, BBF......Just because someone catches Quads (or nut flush) or even a straight flush against you doesn't mean On-line Poker is rigged.

LongLiveYorke 38
Pretty sick hand. I'm guessing the guy who boated up had like TT or something:Board: 9d Td Qh Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 39.0919 % 34.88% 04.21% { KdJc }Hand 2: 30.6755 % 26.47% 04.21% { Jd8d }Hand 3: 30.2326 % 30.01% 00.22% { ThTs }So, we're only like 39%. With three players, we need to be above 33%. We're only 6% above 33%.Let's say the pot is 3 times what we have to put in, so our equity is:(3)(X)(.39) where X is what we have to put in the pot= 1.17 XSo, in the end, we're only earning a profit of .17 times the amount that we have to put into the pot (without including blinds and preflop raises).Obviously you have to call, I just wanted to show how close the hand really is and how little we actually earn. I thought it was interesting.
simo_8ball 0
I am always fascinated by how small the edges in poker really are.
nomad_monad 0
with that avatar, i don't mind if you post hands that are really masquerading as bad beat posts.
JSHamm 9
Just as a side note, I'd let that hand go PF and definitely wouldn't raise with it.Sucks how it all turned out though.
Naismith 0
The guy with the Jd8d seriously overplayed his second nut straight and flush draw. You want to sit with that guy all day because he's just going to be contributing money!

You want to sit with that guy all day because he's just going to be contributing money!Hmmm... Most people on these forums seem to advocate pushing with these types of hands (open-ended straight flush draw). I don't know if it was UTG+1 or CO that had J8. But, if it was UTG+1 (who is very short-stacked here), if he's playing J8 to a raise (granted, if he's going to limp, he probably should call with two other callers, being last to act) then that's about as good a flop as he could ask for to get in his money. He flopped the second nuts and a flush draw.
