I played at his table in this event. I was chipleader at my table with about 80,00, and I was very comfortable, and had a good read on the table. After dinner they moved in a couple of bigger stacks, around 100,000, and Shannon who had about 70 or 80K. I didn't know who he was till i just saw his picture, but my first impression was he was playing like a donk. He called another players all-in for most of his chips with AsJh , the other guy had JJ, and was sitting in good shape. The flop was Kh 10h 8s, turn 9h , river Qh...straight flush for Shannon...now up to over 100k.Next play there is an all-in, reraise all in and he calls both with AK off...first guy had AQ, next had AK... Q on the flop and the AQ tripled up...So me, without knowing him, all I was thinking was give me any hand to play him...After the next break, the antes were 500, and the blinds were 1,500-3,000he had raised about 4 times the previous round and was playing the big stack aggressively. I was in late position with 99, and he raised from early to 10,000. I know he could have made this raise with any 2 high cards or a lower pair, and i was starting to get short with only 40,000, so I pushed all-in. He called with KK...figures.He did say good luck prior to the flop, and was nice after sending me packing. I was suprised to learn that he had so much success, because i was really not impressed with him. May have been a bad read on my part, but who knows. Guess you can't argue with his results though.

I don't think you can make too much of a conclusion after just seeing the couple hands you mentioned. He's had a good about of success and it seems like his loose still worked to perfection on you. We've all seen it a million times. Maniac runs the table, then someone stands up to him with a mediocre hand. Maniac has a monster.Sounds to me like he's playing to win, and winning his is doing.
