LMAO, you guys are actually kinda funny. I want to be making 70K a year in a few months, playing at the 5-10 4 tables, level. Or 2 of 10-20, don't know which will be more prof. but probably 5-10, more donks.

in a few months be at 5/10 tables? that could take less than a month if you play enough hands....but there's only a few i know like that...pokerplayer from the forum plays sick amounts of hands...but have fun with that playing limit...limit is the devil.- Jordan

You don't like making 6K a month with only little variance? I mean, in comparison to NL. And limit isn't the devil, NL is! LOL. I can technically already be there, but I wanted to complete a 50K 2-4 BB/100 session, and then atleast a 30K hand 3-6 session BB/100. Let me know what you guys think? Not any donks, only the good players please, lol.I was told that it would be hard to maintain a measly 1.25BB/100 at the 5-10 level, but at 3-6 making 2BB/100 is making $12. And the 5-10 is only $12.50 per 100 hands. Does anyone have any 3-6/5-10 limit experience? On line, of course. I have played in so many Casinos, including The Commerce, but I want to play online for now.

hehe, limit has sick variance..you might not be able to handle losing a buy in in a hand...i just hate betting "x" amount and letting ppl just call call call call call. I hate dealing with that. in nl i control ppl and they do what i want..i can't get that in limit games...i know i'm a much better nl player just cuz of my style of play and chit.i know how to adapt in limit games, but i just hate LHE. it's seriously rigged. ;)the way you beat NL is by having a big roll and not playing scared. playing good postflop and just not worrying about dumping a buy in...i sreiously think most ppl that complain about variance in NL hold em' just don't know how to properly play...or at least optimally.oh, and i'm talking about short handed limit hold em' being the devil...i play short handed nl...and it's swingy...but my goodness the swings you can go on playing 6 or 5 max lhe and less is just absolutely disgusting.- Jordan

There weren't really any good SHLHE games in my ballpark tonight, so I moseyed over to 5/10 full LHE. Let me say that I'm officially giving up full LHE. The game makes me want to rip my hair out. Yeah, the swings in SHLHE are "worse", but I feel like I have even less control over the pot and my opponents. Hard to fade so many people in full ring. I won 40 BB at 4/8 SHLHE, but I lost 45 BB at that one stupid 5/10 table.Oh, and the suggestion that NLHE is swingier than LHE is laughable.

QFT.Also, variance in LHE >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> variance in NL.LHE is 100x more frustrating as well.- Zach

Stud's where it's at as far as low variance goes. My worst session for a single table since I started playing again (about 2,500 hands or so) was -8 BB. Overall, in that time, I'm up something like 170 BB. Yeah, I know I've been getting lucky to some degree, but it certainly seems a lot easier and low stress to make money there in the long run.Lately though, even though the Stud games have been insanely profitable, I've been distracted by sports betting. I love betting college football, and in the opening weekend, I went 13-6 and hit a 6-team teaser, putting me up a little over $2,000. I'm also doing the Mansion promo, so I'll be freerolling for another $1,000 come Thursday. Just the fact that it's completely fresh has made it kind of take over my attention at the moment. The only serious poker I've played lately was that home game last weekend. Well, it wasn't quite as juicy this time, as none of the worst players came back, and I stayed way too late, playing three-handed when I had little to no edge on the HE and Omaha rounds, and was actually being completely outplayed in the stud rounds. (Just don't have the experience playing with that few people. Especially with the odd spread limit structure.) Anyway, after peaking at about $3,000 to the good, I finished the night down $250. That swing brought me down a little bit and also made me not want to play for a couple days, but in the time I have played this month, I'm up a total of $1,250. I'm sure I'll make plenty of money before the month's over. I've been reading "7-card stud for Advanced Players" by Sklansky too, so I'm sure that will have me back in the mood to play in short order.

Listen guys can we go back to arguing over how brilliant I am?Money problems taken care of and now I can get back on track. Finished in the money in both PS $3 rebuys today but got hardcore donkstruck in both.. finished 36/1598 and 70/1917.. however do to my rebuy madness style I won like $40 combined. I'll be back to playing live again tommorow.

See, my point about people who play SNG's. No offesne whatsoever to the poster, just pointing out my thoughts.
What was the point?
play nice.Jordan is one of the nicest fellas here.Tremoney is a solid strategy poster and I presume intelligent player. Who knows why his roll is low right now. You are stepping on the wrong toes.know your roll
TremoMMMMMey... common mistake :club:
Did my post offend you? I was just stating what I figure to be true...that's all. No harm done, it's just a forum.although trevor is a donk..he'd tell you himself.- Jordan
<---- SUPER donk.. but I'm aggressive with bad hands so that makes me "tricky aggressive player" and god forbid you watch me play a rebuy tourney in the first hour. I have a problem.

yea, the swings at SHLHE blow balls, Pokerplayer is probably the only player here who plays more hands then me a month. If I'm a good boy and get in my 5-8 hrs a day I can usually get in like 2500-3k hands a day, now that I started school again that hasn't happened but I still generally get in like 1500 hands a day

jordan,hi.As you learn and play more poker you will appreciate the players who call you with J8 when you have AA. Now remember though AA is just a pair. A big pair, but a pair. Don’t go broke with just a pair. I think Annie Duke said that. She’s considered the strongest female tourney player alive today. You want to put your money in with the nuts or drawing to the nuts. AA is the nuts preflop but on a Qd 6h 2c flop, now how does your AA look? see? So you need a read on your opponents. Look for tells. Sweaty palms or flinching eyelids works well. Don’t get down. Poker is about EV decisions. Sometime your opponents just outplay you.

Aww...are you going to cry? "Look at me. I'm Jordan...I'm not going to make 10k this month." :club: :DI think I'm back to slightly negative on the month and had to take a quarter of my roll for bills. Oh well.

Meh,I'm down about $200 on the month, and I'm not putting in the hands I wanted.I've donked away way too much money in MTT's.I really hope the Steelers win, because that will help fade my MTT addiction. It will also be a nice boost to my BR, and a nice step in my way to TP/MT at the end of the month... (aka quit my 16 hour/week $8.50/hr job).. I may indulge you guys in more details with that bombshell goal/decision as the time nears... lol- Zach

I am 386$ up 4 tabling 0-15.0-25$ PLO8 so far.I cant find any 0.25-0.50$ tables on Crypto so i think i will directly move to 0.50-1$ tables.I have no idea what the BR requirements for PLO tho.I set myself a 20 Buy ins rule but i don't know if it is too high or too low.Btw what is a good winrate for Omaha?I don't have the Omaha PT so i am keeping a track of hours i play.I am making between 15-20$ an hour so far.

Whoooooooooooo!I'm officially up in September!Took until the 6th too make any money, but I'm up about somewhere between $6 and $56 depending on how much money it costs me exchanging my money back and forth to get it from Mansion to Neteller to Pokerstars, and of course, I (a lot of us) could be up $1k if the Steelers win tomorrow night. That would be a nice boost to the bankroll!Either way, I'm no longer in the red in the month!Goal from here on out: $2500 (probably a longshot without the Mansion bet winning), and not to donk off any more money in MTTs, although, if the roll is in good shape, I'm considering a shot at one of the smaller WCOOP events, but probably not. Maybe just a Sunday Million instead, just for the hell of it. Probably not on that one though. PT actually shows like a $500 win in cash games, but somehow I'm only up like $50... so MTT's are a leak right now.. lolEither way, if I make about $2500 more this month, I'm quitting my job. W00t w00t.That would get ALL of my remaining debt paid off, as well as leaving myself enough for a few months of living expenses (I live at home), and a 25x buyin roll for $100 NL. Not setting anything in stone, but that would be a nice goal.- Zach
