Just make sure you're playing the right stud game. Rolled up K's, not so good in Razz.

Back toward the end of May I started a real bad run. So, I tightened up, played only premiums etc. but kept getting beat by miracle 1 or 2 outers hitting for the next couple of weeks. So, I took a couple weeks off and tried again. However, in hindsight, I don't think I was mentally in the right place to be playing. I would either play scared or go to the opposite extreme and play over aggressively. Finally, I ended up taking a month off, sat myself down and really analyzed the situations critically. Then after I felt I was in the proper state of of mind I started back up. I can't over emphasize the mental side of the game being so important, especially in NL. It's like being in the wrong mental state actually perpetuates the bad run. So, back off a bit, re-center and when your mind is prepared get back on the horse and try again.

Seriously the best advice I can give you is move your money to another poker site. This is the best advice I can give ya. It was worked for me numourus times. I seem to go on very bad runs whenever I cash out on a pokersite, and while I don't believe that all sites are really 'rigged', I know if can feel like that sometimes. I think it's just the idea of a new enviornment and kinda being able to start over. Anyhow, I'm defientally working on the up side of varience right now (- the $800+ that was just stolen from my neteller account). Also don't think some of these guys are that far off. Depends on what games you playing, I'll assume it's NL hold'em, but I deposited some money on Full Tilt recently cause I wanted to play some horse sng's (before stars updated), ended up playing nothing but low limit HORSE heads up sng's for about a week. Did pretty well in them, but for whatever reason since I've gone back to playing NL hold'em cash games I've been playing some of the best poker of my life.

This is what i do when i am running bad.1) Before i play any poker i make sure theres nothing on my mind and that everything is ok and running good. What i mean is that i make sure theres nothing bothering me or nothing i can't stop thinking about in my head before i play. Make sure your head is clear before you play because you play your best poker when theres nothing on your mind.2)I read books and take some time off and go do soemthing with the family or with your friends. When poker is not going so good i go to the golf course to let off some steam. Try stuff away from the table and get your mind off poker for a bit.

i find that if i run bad i take a day or 2 off and just watch friends, read, order in pizza etc for the WHOLE TIME. i cant stress it enough, the WHOLE time, nothing else. also the WPT episodes, not the WSOP because the whole feel is so dark and negetive and we dont need to put that out in the universe. WPT episodes make me want to play better and there is just something about seeing players slide in big stacks of chips to the pot with top pair/bluff that makes me feel better about playing internet poker.

I guess it's alot better than running bad, but for like the last 5 days I've been staying at the EXACT SAME AMOUNT. I just can't move up, I've tried switching styles, playing diferent games...but :(Thank god I still have the bonus account money coming in, so it atleast looks like I'm making money =P.

Don't listen to what everyone else has said above. They are idiots. If what you say is true, this just means you are going through sessions being cold decked and variance slapping you in the face.If you do play uber tight and text book poker as you say it, change nothing and you will find yourself profiting in no time. There is nothing to get out of, just play through it.Also, by the way you describe your situation, I am guessing that you aren't as experienced and knowing exactly what you are doing.Stay in the lower limits, build skill and br gradually.
