GWCGWC 83
The Fcppc website seems to be down for me. I just get a Comcast page saying url not found. This could be because of my work computer, but I've viewed the site from here in the past.I was just checking to see if I played tonight. I hope not because I'll be watching the Bronco's dismantle the PoeBirds.

The old homepage should now redirect to the new homepage, http://home.comcast.net/~zsta2k5/index.html You will also notice a few changes on the standings page, that allows me to update much easier. The site will now be updated nightly, including up to date standings.

It's my mom's 50th on Monday, I don't have plans yet, but JIC...17-18 should be around the magic number TBHAlso... just wondering... anyone think it may be a cool idea to cut a little bit out of the consolation tournament prize pool, and get a traveling trophy for the league? Just a thought... it would be around $100 at the very highest from the places I looked. The one I kinda have my eye on is around $70-80 after shipping I'd imagine.
troyomac 0
cool idea, but i wouldn't trust me to look after the trophy when i win it. i'll probably break it by the time there's a new winner.

zsta2k6 0
Before I give my playoff breakdown, I guess I should address the annoucement of ongame disallowing US players from playing soon. While I feel and have read that we should have just enough time to squeak out the end of this competition, I feel we still need some form of contingency plan. We currently have two options to continue. Either we double up for the next two weeks, having 2 games going on per night until completion, or stick with our original schedule and the planned end 4 weeks from saturday (today). If we choose to speed up, there is no doubt in my mind we will finish, so an exit plan wouldnt need to be in place for that. However, if we stick to the current schedule, there is a small chance that we will not be able to finish. I am positive that we will finish the preliminaries, and I am almost sure we will finish the round of 20, basically the only thing in question would be the quarterfinals on. The best option in my mind, is continuing to follow the normal payout schedule, until we cannot continue. Once that happens, we would split the remaining prize pool between the people still in the tournament. Examples are below.Modified payouts in case we are unable to continue:Ending after the preliminaries:$1300 will have been paid out in the preliminary roundThe remaining $5700 would be split between the 20 remaining players, each getting an additional $285 on top of their preliminary payout.Ending in the middle of the round of 20:$1300 will have been paid out in the preliminary round$300 paid out in the round of 20The remaining $300 from the round of 20 will be split among the 16 players that did not advance, for $18.75 each. In addition to that, the remaining $5100 will be split 20 ways for $255 each, giving each player that advanced to the quarters $330 on top of the preliminary payout, and each player that failed to advance from the round of 20 $273.75 on top of their preliminary payoutEnding after the round of 20:$1300 will have been paid out in the preliminary round$600 will have been paid out in the round of 20The remaining $5100 would be split 8 ways between the remaining players, giving each $637.5 on top of the previous payouts. That should take care of any scenerio where the end our run early. Now I continue with the normal annoucementsThe playoff breakdown:People who have mathematically clinched a spot:msals11supertouchQuietConfidencetroyomacgobearsGWCGWCTheBigB11ZIPPY COOTIEEvilGNhomer21People mathematically eliminated:Nobody suprisingly enough.Alright, so we have 18 people competing for 10 spots, lets break it down further...People who have practically clinched a spot:IBThePennyAAsnake88copernicusGrouchomcpicklPeople who need a strong showing to advance:OziumrulesSpencexzanosFootballGuruKestral123RDogPeople who need a decent showing to advance:TB17BrandonPLShizzMoneytherafluCheckymcfoldseacucumberVatcheThere you go
