5 way pot 17 to call flop comes 8 9 6 i have 8 7 loose player bet 65 i call the turn is my money card 5 im first to act i bet out 150$ he callsturn is an ace i fire in my last 265.he thinks for 4 mins and softly calls "he says i got 2 pair ) after i show him my 7how ever the dealer points out he has 8 9 for the flush.did i play this wrong ?i dont care about bad beat stories or anything but i would like to know i could have played it differently

I might have raised on the flop, but you can't be scared of the backdoor flush, you will lose to much money long term. I like it, i mean he thought he had two pair and called so you know there is value there.

if the guy doesnt laydown with the 5 on the turn ~ there is no way is leaving those 2 pair

Maybe change my opinion if I hear positions and other actions, but I go brokeo n the flop.

Sounds like you were up against a monkey, against a monkey I'd probably checkraise on the turn, but against a good player I like the bet out on the turn...and Ditto on the preflop call...
