Alina 0
Todd that is. Saw High Stakes poker on TUBE and DN gets nut flush by river, but Brunson makes DN fold by bluffing him as if he had boat on the flop. DN got totally owned. It's just a different level of play. One can only wonder how good the new World Champ is who beat 8000 people.

cemo76 0
Yeah I saw that too. I couldn't believe Daniel Folded?? I guess the board was paired and it scared Daniel. But No Way is Todd brunson better then Daniel. It was just one hand. I guess you didn't see Todd try and bluff Daniel with Ak on a Board of Q 9 2. Daniel made a great call and took down about 250 000.Anyway Brunson jr is no DOYLE!!!!!Ps. The new champ is Arrogant and will never win another worthy tournament again:)

I guess people like Hellmuth, Raymer and Gold are the Premier division being world champions, but in terms of second division I put Todd at the top, with DN way up there. Still they all make a living out of it.

Todd is one of the very most elite cash game players in the world. Ask anybody that plays high limits.

lind0 0
He might have inherited the poker instincts but he certainly didn't inherit the class. I think he usually comes across as an arrogant prick. I've seen him be rude to the dealers, I've heard him say he's the best player in the world and this and that, and he just generally rubs me the wrong way. I don't understand how his Dad is so classy and he's such a jackass.
WVUCarter 0
None of us know who is a better cash game player b/t DN and Brunson. Unless you've sat at the table with them, then chill out.
Toka 0
did you guys even watch that whole hand.brunson totally screwed up by calling on the turn with his jacks and he wasn't even bluffing the fullhouse. he had no idea where he was at that hand, completely misread daniel. and tried to make a weird river bluff that didn't even make any sense. the only mistake daniel made was to not bet the river passing action to brunson.if anything that hand showed how bad brunson plays once in a while. KowboyKoop 0
You guys have to be joking?DAniel is better the Todd Brunson! In Tourney or Cash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Todd Brunson is the better cash game player because he plays in the big game WAY WAY WAY more often and pretty much every single top pro says that he is one of the, if not the, very best cash game players in the world. This is not said about DN in terms of cash games. DN is the better tourney player. Todd Brunson is the better cash game player. That's just a fact. Whether you think Brunson played that particular hand well or played it poorly, it doesn't matter. Todd Brunson is one of the very best cash game players in the world, if not the best. DN is not. I know this is DN's forum, but that doesn't mean he is the best at every single thing.

nutzbuster 7
This should almost be in the other thread about most underrated pro player.Todd Brunson should be in the top 3 of that category.

Being a world champ really doesn't hold up in a game like this. IMO poker is a game of skill, but look at Moneymaker. Come on.
BryanCollins 0
Gold in the premier division? I'll agree with you on this once he starts winning more major tournaments.
xtxoxpxd 0
no way todd thought negreanu had the flush. he was probably bluffing the flush HIMSELF and you gotta admit, he played the hand exactly like he had JJ.

DRskateNT 0
Let's also not forget i'm sure Todd will agree that no-limit holdem isn't his best game, and yet he plays it on a world class level....In season 1 todd didn't make 1 mistake... the whole season. He knows what he is doing, seems to have a great feel for the players.I hope that the success of High Stakes poker will encourage them to be brave enough to show a mixed game on TV, then we will really see why these guys are so great.... i know I'd watch.Comparing poker players (especially people you've never played with) is a waste of breath... different styles cater to different opponents... Naked_Cowboy 0
Last week we established that the OP had absolutely no concept of anything poker related when he/she/it argued for pages about how raymer was better than DN. One of the reasons he cited was raymer winning more in tournaments than DN. It was a pretty spectacular display of idiocy.

I don't understand how his Dad is so classy and he's such a jackass. It's not that surprising really. Doyle worked his way up from the very bottom, fighting more than just "going broke" to get there. It is no surpise that he learnt some humility along the way.Todd, on the other hand, was born into a life of relative luxury, which a rich and famous father. Spoilt siblings like this crop up all the time. I'm just talking generally here, I have no opinion on Todd, I haven't really seen him do anything other than rake big pots from the comfort of his backward facing chair.Doyle even mentions somewhere (must be SS1, thinking about it) that he didn't think that any of his kids would get into poker. The reason being that he thinks that in order to be a good gambler you have to have lived a life in which you have had to take risks, and live on the edge, in every day life. Not just at the table.
