jcashx36x 0
So for those of you who play poker part time, how much time do you put intoyour daily sessions to reach your daily goals? You probably have a system that you follow everyday when you sign on to your designated poker site. For example, if your goal is to win $140 in 4hrs. thats equivalent to a $17hr. job.(full time). Without getting greedy and trying to win more, you should be ableto succeed 75% of the time. Of course your going to have bad runs hereand there, but that's where I think a big enough BR would give you some cushion in losses. So if your reading this and this thread fits you, please share your thoughts on this topic. The reason why I bring this up is because a friend and I are moving to the mainland to launch a small run at this NL Texas Holdem game, but of coursewe'll both have part time jobs to have some kind of income coming in! :)thanks again guys, jcashx36x
greatwhite 0
Poker is my part time job, but my only goal is to make the right decisions.
GeneralGeeWhiz 0
What I'm doing is going to school and playing small poker on the side to pick up some cash. When I'm done with school and working as a Xray Tech, I can play higher stake games... Just what I'm going to do.
Canary3 1
making $140 in 4 hrs is a terrible goal. Greatwhite said it well... your only goal should be to play well and make right decisions. Goals like that get in the way of playing well

TheCinciKid 0
Your only goals should be regarding the number of hands/hours you want to play in a given day/week/month. Then you should try to make the right decisions every time and let the cards fall where they may.

msals11 0
i dont set goals... i play mostly tournys, and its very hard to set goals in tournys cuz anything can happen on any give night... could be -1-2k, or it could be +20k+, you just never know, and have to be willing to expect, and accept it all
