Aha, yes, I did see that post and was amused reading it.You asert that I also posted under someone else's name, from memory I think you said Sophie (?) .I can assure you, and Im sure that the general public reading this can decifer that I am a mature reasoning person, and as such would have no reason to post under a different name.Q: Even if I had done this, you would have no way of knowing UNLESS you have moderator access and looked up my IP address. to Post under a different name, I would have had to re-register.Interestingly (of in your case, unfortionetely), I am connected to the internet by a mobile 3G card which goes out via vodafone mobile services in Madrid, Spain, therefore I share my IP address with quite a few other people in the country, so my guess is that this poor person is another con victim, connected to the same national server as myself.Anyway, my patience with you is wearing thin, so I would rather not acknowledge any further posts of yours so dont bother.Should any other group user want to comment, I look forward to hearing from you all.thanks!BigMac :club:

Hello all. I am a sponsored player for Poker Payday .com and I just wanted to clear up a few things. I do not feel "scammed" in any way shape or form. We are all being sen't to the Tropicana Casino in AC in December and I have been contacted by PPD as to accomodations etc. As posted in an earlier post I noticed that someone hit the nail on the head. Thousands of players applied for this sponsorship and only a few hundred are approved. Those who where not, complain that this is a scam etc endlessly. If you feel that this is not legit "THEN DON'T FULFILL THE CONTRACT'" and certinly don't complain after. I wish you the best of luck and if you where chosen and decline, then I hope you are not kicking yourself in the you know what in a year. I know I won't be.itsallmine40
Folks,I’ve read this thread so far, and I must say that I’m shocked by the lack of logic and common sense behind a few of these posts, especially BigMac79’s. And since my name was mentioned specifically, I need to address BigMac79’s “researched” claims and the uninformed support they’ve enjoyed from a few people here. There are several general claims made by BigMac79 and a couple others, so let's get right into it. First:1) THE UP-FRONT FEE= POKER PAY “SCAM” CLAIM: I understand the concern over this fee. I, too, have been taught since childhood to be cautious and skeptical of up-front charges. We here at Poker Payday have that charge for several reasons, though, including:a. Marketing--- Our ads in the major poker magazines are not cheap. They’re tens of thousands of dollars each month due to online casinos and poker rooms driving up costs. We are in business to stay in business and require that one-time charge to pay the bills. b. Player Commitment --- It’s easy to gamble other people’s money. But we’re looking to stake good players into other live and online tournaments, preferably acheiving a final televised table finish with a big payout. Then they pay back a small percentage of winnings (usually 10%-30%) only for buy-ins above above $200. Without the poker test and $99 fee, too many people would get in the program (thousands per month apply) competing in huge fields and we would not be able to operate successfully. Many of our sponsored players (and there are almost 600 of them, with over 6000 applications in our database) don’t blink at the $99 fee to get into the system as quickly as possible, but THERE ARE SEVERAL OPTIONS FOR GETTING SPONSORED WITHOUT THE $99 FEE. Just call us at 888-POKER50 to find out, rather than taking the uninformed posts from un-sponsored players here as gospel.2) CLAIM THAT WE HAVE NO RELATIONSHIP WITH FULL TILT POKER-- Our association with FTP is as an affiliate but under our corporate name, not our website’s name. PartyPoker.com’s corporate name, for example, is Party Gaming, not the website. I'm not surprised they didn't recognize our website.3) PPD=SCAM BECAUSE OF DOMAINSBYPROXY.COM/GODADDY.COM CONNECTION—Every website registered on godaddy.com is offered free private registration, as mentioned by a post on this site. Cfinnn’s post, though, is way off base in assuming that one scammer associated with godaddy.com means that all godaddy.com customers are. That’s the same thing as assuming that anyone with a yahoo e-mail is a scammer because of a yahoo spam virus going around. Lastly, I’d like to talk about BigMac79’s experience in our tournaments. We did remove his posts on our site (all of them) for two reasons: 1) he not only violated our good faith offer of $20 into his Neteller account for a tournament, and 2) he posted personal information about an employee onto our own forum. If he can do this and still have a clear conscience, then I feel bad for him. And be sure to use your common sense when looking at his posts here. BigMac79 agreed to play for us, accepted the transfer of $20 in advance to play a tournament, and then admits that he stole it from us, justifying it as “finder’s keepers”. And yet WE scammed him? So let me get this straight...He consents to our agreement (which all players must do before the transfer), we transfer him money to play, he steals it from us, and we scammed HIM? With this tournament, BigMac79 had the chance to earn full sponsorship with us for 12 months without the $99, in addition to a cash game bankroll or 2007 WSOP seat but chose to take 20 bucks instead. If he needs the money that badly, he can have it. We here look at it as an advertising investment because he’s bragging that Poker Payday “scammed” him by sending him 20 dollars. It’s laughable in its infantile logic. What kind of scam sets up a player forum and a year-long relationship with its players? And transfers money for people in advance to play? Wouldn’t a scam operation never be heard from again? Look at the overall theme from our player posts: they are all positive, while non-sponsored players assume still insist we’re a scam with no real evidence.Anyone and everyone with questions or complaints about our service please call the office toll-free at (888) POKER50 and we can talk about what’s on your mind. Sincerely,Alex888-POKER50Alex@pokerpayday.comP.S. -- BigMac79 was the ONLY person staked who registered but didn’t play in the tournament in question. We have hundreds of sponsored players out of thousands of applications. We have major corporate sponsorship deals in the works with poker companies and professional players, and we will NOT jeopardize these deals by being an unscrupulous fly-by night organization. We are here to STAY!

First off thanks for the support Cfinn, and the rest of the newsgroup readers whom I am sure have the sense recognise the daming evidence that I uncovered re. our friends at pokerpayday. With regards to Alex's post, the only personal information that I displayed on the post was the email address of the person whom sent me the $20, on behalf of Pokerpayday. This same email address has been implicated in numerous other sponsorship scams online, and that is easily checked using google. If that constituted an invasion of privacy, I would apologise, however it just serves to "out" the scammers behind pokerpayday.ANYWAY - this subject is becomming quite tiresome, and I will continue to reply and post on any other newsgroups whilst you keep up this pointless defense of yourselves. In short, we know whats going on, you know that we know. Lets just leave it at that and you can go on your merry way scamming others.thanks to the FCP forum for allowing me to post these responses and I look forward to becomming a more active member here.Best regardsBigMac
