You do not have a lot invested in the hand, and realistically, you hate every single card that is going to come out of the deck with the exception (POSSIBLY) of a 2 or 3.Board is 6 8 10 K, you have 79 for high and A4 for low.Ace brings a higher straight and kills your low, while bringing another low.King brings a paired boardQueen brings higher straightJack brings higher straight10 brings paired board9 brings higher straight8 brings paired board7 brings higher straight6 brings paired board5 you are probably getting 1/4, but has the potential to be a decent card4 kills your low, while bringing another3 you are probably getting 1/4, but has the potential to be a decent card2 you are probably getting 1/4, but has the potential to be a decent cardAnd you definitely hate any diamond. The big raise probably means a straight with some redraws or a better low draw than you.The call is probably on a flush and/or low draw.Basically, you are drawing to a non diamond 2,3,5 for possibly only 1/4 of the pot.Hi-Lo is a game where you can fold the nuts on the flop. Vulnerable straights are a great reason to do that.See this post: http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...showtopic=70205
David_Nicoson 1
Rather oddly, no one had a flush draw. There was a better low draw in the main pot, but I had the best low draw in the side pots.dabear 3: A 9 K 7 (nut str8, very poor low draw, jack for a better str8)the outlaws 5: J 10 K Q (two pair & OESD)HDiamond 8: 3 6 10 A (two pair & good low draw)David_Nicoson 9: 9 A 7 4 (nut st8, poor low draw)Everybody does have a way to score big on the end. It just seems like your hand is very vulnerable, and are probably getting 1/4'dI'd didn't come away from it thinking I'd made a good play. I'm not in the great a shape with the actual hands, and I'm actually surprised not to be facing a flush draw. Thanks for the feedback.
Chamonyx 0
Check/Fold the flop to any significant action.Once you see the turn, however, going to war is fine - especially as you get HU in the sidepot which is for much more than your investment in the main pot. In this respect, your weak low is very valuable.

Good luck.
Chamonyx 0
Be careful about Monster-under-the bed syndrome here - actually, Monster-under-every-bed-in-the-dorm. With so many players pushing in here there is a good chance that many of the flush cards are out, so even if the other big stack has a flus draw, it is not as good as he thinks; If he has a set then he still needs to hit and will need a 4 card hand to beat you.
