Which one do poeple find is more useful? Any other books people recommend as a must have?Supersystem 2, because the first one is a little dated, and it includes sections on games that are rarely played today. The first one is still great, but I think #2 is more useful in todays world.
scottyno 0
if all you care about is NL games and Doyles section then it really doesnt matter since its basically the same in both. if you care about other games then it depends on what other games you care aboutsuper system 1 has lowball games and draw games that arent played very much anymore unless you like razzsuper system 2 has new games like triple draw and omaha 8, as well as a small section on online play

Stylin_Fish 0
Only buy a book if it guarantees you'll get luckier because that's all that matters in poker. Also that way, if you don't get luckier you can sue the writer for false advertisement. It's a win-win situation.

Which one do poeple find is more useful? Any other books people recommend as a must have?get both, the NLHE sections are almost identical in books, but each book has different games in themboth are worth the money
Eleusis 2
Doyle mentions, in his NLHE section, that he likes "one out".He advocates going all in with an inside straight draw. That's up there with, "in PLHE, always bet the pot." (Cloutier)You better be at the tightest table ever.
Dan The Man 0
Of the two, definitely get SS2. I own both but 2 is more useful because it's updated.
eYank 0
ive read the NLHE section in both and they are similar, but the other sections ive read skimmed through and 2 is more up to date
Marchione 0
the stud section by chip reese in ss1 is top notch !!!
Matty 0
HOH by a Mile i read both and got substantially more from Harrington, i think it has to do with the problems at the end of every chapterThe problem sections are what makes Harrington's book so strong. Most any other book you read will just tell you how they think you should be playing. Harrington will put every piece of his teachings into the problems section at the end of each chapter in real likely scenarios. It really speeds up the experience process.
