i'm going to be in the area this weekend and was wondering if i could get a quick overview of the room. Thinking about playing the $150 tourny on friday morning, is it worth it? what are the cash games like? are the sit n goes worth playing?

I played down there a few weeks ago in their Friday tourney - lasted a couple of hours at a super aggressive table. The $140 SNG was pretty good, but the blind structure is pretty aggressive, so be prepared to play fast. Avoid the "Poker Pro" $65 tourney - it's a computer version of a poker table, and kind of a waste of time from what I could tell.Lots of dead money in the cash games, although the limit is low ($ 1-2).Good Luck.

blinds went up quickly in the mtt..they have NO NL cash games....only 100 ten person nl sngs (and 200, 500, etc.)they have limit cash games but i didnt play them i stuck to the SnGand fyi, its only slots and poker ... no table games or anything. Its a pretty whack casino

THe sit and gos are very juicy. The people are absolutely terrible. I do not recommend the $65 or $100 sit and go's as they are computerized. But $140 and up are good. I also don't recommend the cash games as the rake is terrible.

The rake is impossible to beat at the 1-2 limit (it's 10% up to 5 dollars, and I think I had one hand get pass the cap, I made a K high straight flush vs the A high flush and a full house) They have 2-2 limit, because FL state law prohibits more than 2 dollars per round of betting, so they have to bastardize the game to get as much money as possible in the middle, although I think it wouldn't really be that bad of a thing for a better player to have the limits be 2-2 as the donks put twice as much money in to see the flop with 6d3d or some other crap like that.Stick to the Sit N Gos and MTTs.

Florida doesn't give us much to enjoy as poker players. I'm in the Tampa Bay area and we have the Seminole Hard Rock here. Terrible version of poker is played. MTT's are decent, but like the poster stated above, you've got to play fast and get some chips. As the stupid saying goes, "go big or go home".

Poker in Florida sucks Super, but if you have to play, the MTTs at Hard Rock are OK and the eye candy is wonderful. I live 30 min south of there in Miami.
QFT, except I live 45 minutes north of the Hard Rockyou can play 2/2 limit poker. gets a little more in the pot, rake wins, play any two. No fold em holdemchips and blind structure for $140 SnG1500 in chipsblinds 50/100 15 minute levels$250 Sng2500 in chipsblinds and levels the same. I like this one.The multi on Saturday is pretty good.$165+354000k in chipsblinds start at 25/50levels 30 minutes.FL poker sucks. Good luck, have fun.

I am prob playing the mtt tomorrow. 120 +30 with 5 dollar add on. You get 4k in chips plus the 5 dollar addon for 500 chips. Blinds start at 25/50 and advance every 20 mins. 150 people usually play, 15 places pay, its not a bad mtt structure
