jordan why would you tip $75?? i don't even understand wanting to tip $25 or $50.
LOL. I was so tired and it was late and she was leaving, so I just grabbed 3 $25 chips and gave them to her, lololol. I don't know, whatever. I guess even $50 would be too much, but it feels nittish to just tip $5-$10 when you win a big pot. Oh well.I still think $25 woulda been fine though, haha. There was one guy at my table that was so sick with his tips, I think he induced my tip. He won a 1200 pot and tipped $200. So gross.- Jordan

i don't think i've ever tipped more than $2.Where you guys live, do the dealers make minimum wages and depend on tips? Where I play the dealers get a pretty good wage, especially relative to their skill/education, and the tips are divided between everyone.
They make 4 dollars an hour so all of their income comes from tips. Their tips are not pooled either so what you tip that particular dealer goes right into their pockets. Jordan is a mad man for the $75 tip. Most of my friends work at the Trop and I am probably one of the best tippers there and my biggest tip ever was like $60 in a 2k pot.

HOH 1's pretty basic. If you're a solid tournament player, I don't think it does a lot or you. It's just the stuff you'd get out of any poker book about when to make a C-bet, when to fold junk, basic stuff like that. It's a good guideline for how to play basic tournament poker, but if you already know that, there's nothing earth-shattering like in HOH2.

I'm usually a good tipper, but $50-$75 is a little ridiculous, especially, in a 2/5 game. I'd say $5-$10 is fine if you get a big pot. When I was playing that 5/10 home game the other day, there were a dealer and a cocktail waitress there that were working only for tips, so I gave them an extra $20 each after the game, but I think that's the only time I've tipped a dealer more than $10.Oh, and Actuary, two things: One, I tend to limp a lot more in the early stages of SnGs with hands like AQ then I would in a cash game since you usually need to hit a flop, and also, I notice a lot of people tend not to go after pots the same way they would in a cash game either. It's a lot easier to make basic steals on the button and things of that nature.

I think I might've set a new personal record for missing sets tonight. Four hours of 4-tabling...never hit one.I did have a lot of times where I had QQ/JJ/TT against AA/KK though...so that was fun.

thanks. definitely not the way it works here, so i don't feel too bad about leaving tiny, and often nonexistant tips.

Ok, if anyone takes my September Goals thread I'm cutting off some testes and declaring war. I turn 22 on the 23rd so as my birthday present I want the thread.I don't really know why, but I do!As for my August...I'm around $8.5k I believe...I just got back from AC and profited on the trip, but didn't play much online and I didn't win anything online. We have a few days left of the month and I'm going to play those $109 double stack 6 man events on Full Tilt and hopefully have one more score there, and also try and win 2 or 3 more buy ins in cash games and hopefully get up to that $11k - $12k range. Here goes nothing.- Jordan

So, I won a ticket to the Stars Sunday Million tonight. Cashed in my ticket for T$, which I will use to buy into sng's. Br on Stars, including the T$, is $400. I also have $77.50 on FCP that I cashed out for the FCPPC low buy-in event. Started with $125 this month, up over $350. Would like to have my Stars account up to $500 before the end of the month.

Jordan, $75 tip?!?I tip like $5 if I win a big potAs for my month I decided to move up to 10/20, and boy what a mistake that was. 5/10 is going well though, and my winrate at 50/100 is 70BB/100, so I can't really complain

I am LOVING these Stud games on Party. They're pretty soft to begin with and I've been catching a sick run of cards lately. I've played 1,500 hands this week spread across limits from 10/20 through 30/60 and I'm already up 124 BB for a total of $5,000!I certainly don't expect to continue running this well, but if I can keep it even remotely close, I'll have a hell of a nice profit margin.

If I remember right, the ante structure for the low-limit games is terrible, but I think for the higher limits it's pretty standard.$10/$20 plays with a $1 ante and a $3 bring-in.$15/$30 plays with a $2 ante and a $5 bring-in.$20/$40 plays with a $2 ante and a $5 bring-in.$30/$60 plays with a $5 ante and a $10 bring-in.Aren't those pretty standard? I haven't played Stud on any other sites or at a casino, so I have nothing to compare to, but they seem pretty normal to me.

What's a good place to get a free* version of PT? I think it's time to suck it up and start running that as well. Does it eat a ton of virtual mem. up?
pokertracker.comNo. Virtual memory is essentially RAM stored on the HD.
