Rstutsky 0
If anybody reads ESPN Page 2, The Sports Guy, Bill Simmons, is playing in the WSOP. I can't find any information on how he's doing or if he's played yet. Anybody have any idea?

Push Monkey 0
he says he sucks at poker and will be out in the first two hours. I'm curious, too.
InsanityCubed 0
he says he sucks at hold'em and will be out in the first two hours. I'm curious, too.FYP. He's actually a fair Stud player. I wonder why he didn't play in the 5k Stud or something, since ESPN is obviously bankrolling him.

He's only playing to write about it, and ESPN.com Page 2 readers don't care about a Stud event at the WSOP. They care, somewhat, about the Main Event and which amateur will become a millionaire.I really hope a pro wins this year.

Norhas99 0
He is only playing for a story, kind of like a Playboy writer about a year ago for the Party Poker Million (IV?)
ed1776 0
Here's his article on his brief main event appearanceSports Guy at the WSOPYeah he's right that the tourneys filled with tons of donks and you gotta get lucky, but sounds like he made a pretty stupid play. Nice read on his opponent post flop, but why would you call a raise of 5.5x the big blind, in the second level (assuming) and with a large stack relative to the blinds, with K-10 sooted? He probably shouldn't have been in the hand in the first place.

bipolarbear 0
as much as i love the sports guy, he can't be mad at the call, the reckless idiot had top pair top kicker early on i a tournament where you have to build a massive chip stack early just to survive. even hellmuth wouldn't lay that down.i checked every day on espn.com for that article to finally be up, and i don't know how you found it, although i suspect the link ending with "060818" implies it is going to be posted tomorrow. nice find, though. That may be the worst column i've ever read of his
