gadjet 11
So the hypothetical thread about All-in with Aces has got a ton of answers and arguments... It's difficult to really get a handle on what the majority is because there are so many reposters etc… but I'd really like to see what the majority thinks… also if anyone can get DN's feedback on this that would be great, not that he's the ultimate authority, but it would be really nice to see what a veteran big tourney pro would think and do here… Anyways, the goal is not to reopen a can of worms, but I just want to see what percentage of people say what… thanks! Vade 0
How about we let this question just die? It's never actually going to happen.
gadjet 11
How about we let this question just die? It's never actually going to happen.I'm not trying to bring up the whole discussion again, I just wanted to try and get numbers for how many people would do what... ddoggphx 0
Why in the world would all nine people go all in? Makes no sense. And no, if that happened, you get out quick. With that many players, you will get outdrawn.
Swift_Psycho 1
How about we let this question just die? It's never actually going to happen.Agreed. That's why this question continuously annoys me every time it is asked because it just isn't going to happen.
gadjet 11
Of course it's not going to happen, especially not at the WSOP first hand... but it still is a good question to inspire thought on Poker theory... obviously it's an extreme... but if you answer fold, then you can work backwards and determine at what point (i.e. how many all ins) it would need for you to answer call... would you call with three? two? one? etc and why?... if your answer is call, then is there ever a situation where you'd fold? What is it and why? I'm not asking these questions to be answered here, but to write the question off just because it isn't actually going to happen is ridiculous. I think it's questions like this that really help your game... I can come up with arguments for both sides... but I know what I'd do and why...
KDawgCometh 2
I think we've even had a poll of this already, and each time this situation gets brought up it gets even more extreme. The first big debate was in a three way pot I think, now we're up to the entire table, whatever
jayistheman 0
is this assuming i am properly bankrolled for such a tournament?
digitalmonkey 929
easy fold
SabaAba 0
If all 9 people went all in, I wouldn't even look at my cards, therefore I wouldn't even know that I had pocket Aces.SO I say fold with the caveat of not knowing what my cards were.
gadjet 11
Haha!Jay : Sure bankroll is fine... but if that's the case it assumes that the $10,000k events this size happen once a year and you have maybe 50 yrs max left to play in them... So you are looking at a fixed number of chances in the tourney, as well it is safe to assume this same opportunity never happens again... it will not balance out.. win or lose...If there was a poll on the subject I apologize. I've read many threads about it but never a poll... I almost created a poll on the last one...
jeff_536 3
I think philosophical discussions about poker theory are interesting and stimulating. Not every post on here has to be: How do you play QJo into a pot with three limpers from the button? You don't like, don't read the thread.
